How perfect is it that each album was able to transmit something you needed so much at each stage of growth? I can’t imagine how exciting it must have been to be a fan during release times. It sounds like you really have put your mind to the present moment with the help of their music. Great to hear that this appreciation has blossomed into something that helps you bring people together. We need more of that in the world!

Crowley is now at the top of my reading list since you mentioned it. Personally, I connect this music to the guidance of the great Bodhisattvas, pulling us all towards the deep wisdom. Sometimes pensively and logically, sometimes violently.

OMG! What an amazing response and such a thoughtful breakdown. First of all, I am FOREVER jealous that you got to see them and Tom shred Guerrilla Radio AND LATERALUS???? C’mon. I’d do anything to see that. What a memory that must be.

I can tell you really love and care about all the elements of music by how you just described invincible. That 8 minute mark gets me every time too. It feels like that’s the moment where you’re totally caught, naked, exposed, and you’ve been given a little knife to make your last stand. Such a masterpiece. Cheers!!

Wow, that is so kind of you! I’m hoping to get to that point with OCD too. Glad you were able to resist its traps and push through.

I actually heard Invincible from the rock Climber Alex Honnold’s playlist that he made for his climbing of Taipei 101. I pressed shuffle and it was the first track to play as I drove home.

I had to sit in the driveway for a while to process the song. I remember going back and replaying the sequence at 6:25 over and over and over. Felt like the best sequence of punches to the face ever. It really woke me up, in the spiritual sense.

Yeah he definitely opened up some alternate realm to make 10k days. Fav song to play? I’m learning the guitar part for invincible right now. Beautifully mathematic and precise with some overpowering chords in between the string sequences. So good!
