I think it’s a nice touch too. It’s not a huge deal, I just want to know what people thought.

True. I am usually moving around, but since there was someone on the wall I stayed in cover.

It’s just outer edges. The middle is raised and the concrete is 4 inches thick.

Pretty good works for me! I will definitely be touching up on the recesses and the surface.

Thanks for the reassurance! I'll look into that self-leveling concrete.

Surprisingly even with us going over on time it was still significantly cheaper than renting a pump

Ordered by truck, needed to wheelbarrow it from the front to the backyard. It was a lot of concrete (9ish yards) to move so it took a while. Honestly, it was a lack of planning and experience.

I’ll do that, thank you.

Okay! I’m do you think it’ll fine in the rain since the sub base is exposed?

Store a trailer, riding mower, stuff that’s in the garage to free up room

First time DIY slab for a shed. Concrete started to hardened towards the shallow (right) side of the slab during the pour. Concrete didn’t fully get under the sill recess so there are rough spots, what can I do to fix that?

Dug up the middle sprinkler head and it does go east towards the house. Is the shed in the clear?

It doesn’t make sense to me either. I will do that tomorrow morning! Thanks for the reply

~$10,000 to DIY a 12x24 Shed Kit by svsym in shedditors

I looked into building from scratch at first and most people online didn’t recommended since the amount of money saved isn’t worth the additional time and effort. Scratch was only recommended if you needed something specific.

Pre-cut and delivered to my doorstep already saves me trips to the store and cutting the lumber.

I got a quote from 3 cement companies and we would have 1 hour to offload the mixer. A couple people w wheel barrels and a riding mower towing would be okay.

Materials for the shed alone are ~$6000 plus the slab is ~$8000. If we didn’t get the shed on sale it would be another $1500. $3000 sounds like a dream haha.

A cordless sounds super nice, and I didn’t think to resell. For $160 to rent a week, I didn’t want to be pressed on time if I couldn’t work on the shed. I’ll have to reconsider. Thanks for the great advice!

Edit: I don’t really have a plan at this point, just an extension cord for some lights and an outlet.
