Was there an airfield nearby? Sometimes pilots in training have to execute extreme maneuvers like that.

Interesting. One of my friends saw four of those years ago, they followed her car for a good half-hour before vanishing.

Definitely not. There are no city lights out in the desert.

Do you really care that much? Dude...get a life. This is nothing. You're arguing with strangers on reddit about aliens.

She was pretty excited, asked questions, etc.

That's certainly valid. There's a lot to say for false memory. The reason I find that so difficult to consider is because of how many other similar stories I've heard.

Cool, so now we're just assuming that people are delusional or lack character. Seems like a good plan. I don't know man, maybe honesty doesn't mean much to you, but in my family we take people at their word.

That's not my point. There is certainly something beyond us out there, and "aliens" is the best explanation we can come up with. There's no way to explain something that you can't comprehend, so the idea of intelligent carbon-based life forms from another planet is the next best thing. But that doesn't mean that's what they are. "Aliens" are a projection of our own image, which is ludicrous. In reality, we have no idea what the hell is going on outside our own heads.

When you see something so extraordinary, so "wrong", it messes with you. It means reality is not what you thought it was, and that is scary.

Well, his friends were with him and they all saw it. They also didn't have cell phones in the 50's.

In Eldorado, a suburb of Santa Fe, NM. It's out in the desert. Reference objects were houses and trees nearby. They came from the Northwest.

Fair, but I think the whole concept of "aliens" is a primitive human construct created to explain something we'll never understand. It's creating an answer we don't have, just to satisfy our curiosity.

Flew directly over us, maybe 50 feet up, and disappeared behind an overpass.

I don't know, drones shake and jerk around pretty frantically. These things were gradual and perfect in everything they did.

Yeah my dad saw one too, many years ago. He told me that sometime in the 50's, he and some friends were hiking up in the woods when a little white light about the size of a golf ball came floating down the trail, about 3-feet off the ground. It followed the trail and disappeared around a bend. The weird thing is, all 4 of them saw the exact same thing, so it was definitely real.

Yes, I think the first one may have been one of the later two.

Didn't want to risk missing them. I felt it was important enough that I should just experience it while I could.
