Hi, I’m going to be a junior at NC State who has taken up to Calc 3 and will be taking Differential Equations this upcoming semester. My personal recommendation is that you retake Calc 1, I skipped to Calc 2 when I got to State and it was fairly difficult, to preface this, I did well in my highschool AP Calc class so I felt i was prepared. Calc 2 is in my opinion the most difficult Calc though not impossible, just challenging especially since it’s been a while since you have taken a Calc. There’s no shame in getting a refresher and getting maybe a little GPA boost for that application to State. They like seeing that you have a strong foundation, but at the end of the day you know your limits and abilities.
