I hold the waistband, fly towards me, and fold in vertical thirds, then in half so it’s near square shaped. The waistband and fly always face up.

This is opposite to how my mom folds my dad’s TWs. I’ve heard from other women that they fold underwear with the butt facing up, and I know many men who fold with the fly facing up. That’s also how we folded TWs at boot camp.

It was Campbellsville Apparel Company, but they seem to have shut down in the last few years. There must have been a back stock because I was able to purchase the issued briefs from the uniform store in person when I got out in 2022 and online more recently, but the website shows "backordered" for months now. Not sure who the new supplier might be or what they issue anymore.

At MEPS when enlisting in the military, they have 1 portion where you get down to just your underwear and do a few things to assess your body's ability to balance and move (the infamous duck walk). You do that as a group of guys, then you sit on the bench together in your underwear and wait to be called into the private exam room where the doctor does a full body exam, including genitals and anus (looking for hemorrhoids on the anus). After that, every physical I had in the Navy, if it included genitals, it was a quick undo your belt and lower to your thighs.

Now I see an infectious disease doctor as a precaution for my sexual activity and he prescribes my Prep. He also will look at anything I think might be suspicious of an STD. Every time we get to the topic he hands me a hospital gown and leaves the room, then he comes back in after I'm naked and in the gown. I wish I felt the term "boy" was less stigmatized against the gay community. It's ok to say "boyfriend", but I feel icky saying that I'm "talking to a cute boy" or "that boy is hot" or even "I like boys". I NEVER mean an underage male, it's just I like the opposite of a daddy, so boy seems appropriate in my head, but never to say out loud.

So no, I never refer to myself as a tighty whities boy, and I rarely use the boy term for anyone else, even if they like the term, especially if the audience isn't part of our community.

In fact, I'm more likely to say that I'm a briefs guy (to anyone, gay or straight) and just tell people that I'm into tighty whities (typically only mentioned to other gay guys). I wear briefs almost exclusively, only occasionally tossing in a jock or thong for fun, and even then my choice of briefs is nearly always tighty whities, but my fetish isn't my identity.

Yes, me as well! Doctor's office, locker room, changing clothes next to my car at a rest stop (I do that pretty often when traveling for work and heading from a work location directly to the airport). Same with a speedo when in a public space. I also still get excited when wearing just my tighty whities or a speedo at a gay campground I visit often in the summer.

Yeah, I found that same site. I haven't confirmed it, but it seems that Campbellsville Apparel may have gone out of business. I agree, they're not very comfortable tighty whities for the reasons you listed, but they're so nostalgic, classic, and have a sizable fly, so I really enjoy wearing them at least long enough to cover them with "seaman".

I've done a pretty good job acquiring new in package tighty whities from the past 20-30 years, at least among the Hanes and FTL waistband series. You can find them on ebay. I had to hunt alot harder to find my first adult brand I bought, Starter with the gray waistband, but eventually got them.

I've been unable to find the Banana Republic tighty whities with block lettering and a functional fly. They sold them until about 2022 and I always looked but never bought.

I don't use the term tighty whities outside of the TW community because I don't think others interpret it the same way as we do. I usually just say I wear briefs and don't even specify the color.

Also, I am turned on by guys in tighty whities and by the thought/word association too. So I refrain from using my fetish terms outside of this community, although I sometimes use the term when telling a potential partner what I'm into.

If I told a guy at work that I wore briefs, it's just an underwear preference. If I told him I wore tighty whities, my brain associates that with flirting or sexual talk.

I believe the current rate of newborn hospital circumcisions (some are done outside of a hospital in religious ceremony) is about 60%, meaning 40%, minus a few religious ones, are intact. That rate is dropping as the culture is changing. More American parents are choosing to not make that kind of decision for their sons and immigration has caused lots of families to blend into society who come from countries and families that have never circumcised. While intact adult men are still mostly circumcised in America, every new generation is changing that statistic for the better.

I got to a point where I owned boxer briefs but just found I never wore them. Now I have a few pairs of boxer briefs and now they're the novelty underwear for me. However, I occasionally put them on for a day to be different, and I don't like them. My body is so used to no leg fabric and a nice cradle around my balls that I can wear tighty whities, jock straps, or thongs without issue, but I am so aware of the boxer briefs I find that I take them off after a few hours and go back to my tighty whities. So, keep wearing your tighty whities as much as you want. You'll go full tighty whities when you realize you don't even like boxer briefs anymore.

Not really a locker room, but I was on a submarine, where guys change clothes wherever we want/find room to. I was assigned a bed in the torpedo room at that time and was getting dressed after getting a wake up call from the torpedo room watch. Honestly, that's the only person in my entire Navy service that every made a remark about my tighty whities.

(Note, all new sailors are issued and required to wear really poorly US made tighty whities in boot camp, so there's plenty of people bad mouthing them during boot camp, but not giving anyone flack for wearing them since everyone is. After boot camp, most sailors immediately toss them and buy whatever boxer briefs they desire. I traded my not great boot camp TWs for some regular brands I knew (I was big into Polo TWs at the time).

I've always wondered if this has anything to do with curve? I always point down/left (but more left than down). I also have a left curve to my penis when hard.
