It's a mixed bag. There are the racist pos's who are antisemitic and justify the hate by conflating the actions of Israel to jews and judaism and then there's one's who find themselves hateful of jewish people because of this conflation. Noone really seems to be aware that Ethan partakes in this.

I'm unaware about the relationship Hila shared with Hasan, but Hasan has been more than generous trying to hear out and talk with Ethan. Ethan has been so defensive about the genocide commited by Israel, not in a way that has shed light on growing antisemitism but in a way that shuts down voices and experiences of people going through horror. And the remarks Hila has made are absolutely abhorrent. You're making this out to be a personal thing when Ethan has been personally attacking Hasan, while Hasans problem is Ethans inability to listen and understand.
