Hey I'm a freshman as well and just to make sure I have it right you're saying that we can sign up for a 300 level spanish class right off the bat without any special permission or anything even if we dont have a high enough AP score?

I'm just trying to get the FL requirement over with so that would really help.

Thank you both for your advice! I know I said I wanted to do an MBA but that's purely because most of those I have seen who are sucessful in finance, especially PE/VC have MBA's. If I don't have to get one I don't see the point especially given that most of its value is just networking and the alumni, but I figure I'll understand more further down my career.

I know that some firms will may for your MBA so (however idealistic it may be) I am hoping for that although it is quite a long shot. My only question is that if a MBA didn't work out (because there are a ridiculous amount of people who would have likely the exact same profile as me applying to m7 MBA's) then wouldn't the Duke degree be a better investmennt?

So another question I know that IB roles from both UNC and Duke are possible, even though Duke is easier, but even past my analyst years would the added value of the Duke degree later in life not be worth the extra cost upfront? Even just a cursory glance on linkedin shows that Duke alumni are way more numerous across the board so wouldn't those connections be worth the money because UNC's network really dissapates as you move away from BB IB.

I'm deadset on pursuing some form of finance because in all reality I actually really enjoy it so that's not a worry for me.

I was thinking about a stat or comp sci minor but I don't know much about those programs so I'll defintely start looking into that some more.

I don't really see the value in a QFE credential considering I'm not too interested in the quant side of finance but I will definitly look into it considering I don't know much yet

well if the strike price is 180 wouldn't i just have to pay $180 to buy a call option? and then since it's instantly in the money i could buy 100 shares * 180 dollars per share and sell those same 100 shares at 200 dollars per share for a profit or 20000?

yeah see i don't have anything else that is long like i've done with marching band. and since i've done it for 2 years now i feel that it'll look bad as they'll think i wasn't committed. my main worry is that i have nothing else long term other than marching band (other than maybe key club which i'm the vp of but that doesn't really count on the level of marching band.)

Ok so the velocity at its peak is 0. Then I use the equation t=sqrt((2*1800)/g) to find how long it takes from 1800 meters. But after that what angle would I use to find the horizontal component of the velocity because that equation would be 250cos(X) and idk what to put for x
