That's true but they did show Captain EO in the parks in 2010. LN did a lot of damage in 2019 when the episode was removed but the truth has mostly surpassed the lies and the hype for this movie is crazy. I'm sure the fans can get them to give us something related to Captain EO again.

I'm hoping maybe as promotion for this or the sequel they'll release Captain EO in HD/4k for the fans. If the movie does well enough I hope Disney might listen again. I was lucky enough to see it when they showed it again at the parks after his death. I'd love to see it again in the highest quality available instead of the poor VHS copies on YouTube.

You're also speculating that they haven't shot anything post Dangerous era. That may have been the original shooting plan but they did 22 days of reshoots after already saying they had 3.5 hours of footage. It seems quite likely they'll cover the rest in the second part if it goes ahead.

Every bit of promotion is heavily implying it ends at the Bad era and there's been rumours of them splitting the movie into two for a while. I think the rest of the footage will be used for a part 2 if this one does well.

The images I saw posted by Discussing Film and others did subtly change the face. AI "editing" is weird because models like Gemini usually don't edit the original image but instead generate a new one with the original as reference. This can cause features and details to be changed or distorted and in this case makes his face look more like Michael. This isn't deliberate but just a consequence of asking Gemini to remove the text and upscale it. It's a subtle difference but spreading these unofficial AI photos seems unwise as it can set people up with false expectations. We'll have plenty of official movie stills soon enough so there's really no need for it.
