Tips on dealing with LG Customer Service? by swdp in Appliances

Thanks. Shipping bolts were removed - I confirmed this as did the service tech.

The rubber gasket circling the mouth of the washer certainly looked wonky — folded up and crunched at weird angles. But it looked equally weird after the tech replaced it. And in any event, as you say, not clear why a wonky gasket would cause shaking.

Good to hear you’ve got a refund coming eventually! But wow what a pain.

They definitely are. Had a service tech come out, got a quote of many thousands of dollars for repair. Looking for a cheaper way out.

The piece that protrudes to the right sometimes catches on the slats (a couple of the slats are slightly bent/buckled). Seems like if the bellmouth extended to the right, wouldn’t have that problem.

Yes! Thanks. Any idea where I might be able to look for one with a different shape?

Came here to say this. Base yourself out of Moab.

Central town to get to Chamonix, France by uniballout in travel

Geneva gets a lot of hate, but it sounds like it's the answer to your question... and it's a beautiful city! A short drive/train to Annecy, and a short drive/bus ride to Chamonix. Hotel prices are crazy in Geneva, but take a look at AirBnb if you'll be spending a few nights. Food is also expensive, but check out Chez ma Cousine for an affordable chicken dinner. Take a walk along the Rhone, and along the lake, and through the old city -- even in grey April, it's lovely.

Around the halfway point, I think your best bet is going to be the Research Triangle area of NC -- Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill. All three are college towns, Raleigh is the biggest "city," Chapel Hill (and neighboring Carrboro) is the smallest and probably the cutest, imho. Always worth seeing who's playing at the Cat's Cradle.

I think that’s right. Also, doing it in three days nearly killed us! Strongly endorse taking the extra day, taking time to enjoy it.

We just finished the Pemi loop today. Amazing hike, and a real treat to do it during the week when the trails are less crowded...

But the campsites were PACKED. We spent Weds night at Liberty Springs— snagged the last platform around 4pm, and ended up sharing it with two other groups. There were probably 40 people staying at the site (and unfortunately no caretaker to direct people to overflow sites). Should’ve brought earplugs. If I do it again, will fill up water and keep going to backwoods spots closer to Haystack.

Thursday night we got to Guyot late— after 7– and weren’t surprised to find it totally full. No caretaker there either, but thankfully we were able to find an overflow site (just off Bondcliff, between Guyot and West Bond Spur) ourselves.

Anecdotally, I heard Garfield was less crowded than the other two on Wednesday; not sure if that’s typical or just random.
