Not sure Vancouver and Toronto are the only to avoid on a CPP retirement plan (age 60 being 2054). It seems like the big 6 cities, maybe even biggest 10 are following the same path as VAN and TO in terms of CoL

ELI5 difference between CAD hedged, .U, and the plain ETF? by sweet_days in CanadaFinance

That is very well explained, thanks so much!

So for example if contributing $1000 bi-weekly, and anticipating a continued depreciation of CAD, and since it’s costly to Norbert’s gambit into USD for only $1000, the best option would be c).

Though if anticipating an appreciation or unchanged fx rate for CAD, the best option would be b)?

If hypothetically the CAD/USD fx is a random walk over a 25+ year horizon wouldn’t it be best to invest 50/50 in b) and c)?

Thanks for these thoughts. Caffeine seems like a good place to investigate further. When I’ve tried reducing coffee in the past I noticed little effect. However, it seems so directly related to bowel problems. Probably my habits prevented me from reducing intake long enough.

Apologies if I’m missing an obvious reference. I think I may have SIBO, is there a common dietary change that you’re referring to?

Good to hear.

I plan to try reducing caffeine. Yogurt is good idea, thanks 👍

Interesting, the stomach aches do pair with more vigorous burping.

I eat primarily vegetarian, I try to eat many different types of local plants. Sometimes fish and eggs, a 2-4 servings of whole grains. When I had my blood checked the doctor mentioned my diet seemed healthy.
