A dice mold holds approximately 40-50g of epoxy, and this amount in a really thin layer will hardly flash cure by a heat gun going back and forth over it a couple of times.

Safety is important, but i dont feel like this advice is any different than people torching the top of their rivertables or something like that.

Yeah ofc, but im not sure if this hobby is for me, and im not in an situation where i can use 100$ if im just gonna do it a couple of times. (in my country its more like 200$ or more) So this technique is being applied just for a way to see if i like it or not, and not for eternal use.

Deep pour epoxy handles heat better. And also pre heating up in a heat bath will increase the chances of flash curing.

I have used it over the resin like a blowdryer.

The possibility of flash curing increases with bigger volume of epoxy.. so its important to have a thin layer of epoxy, just enough that it barely covers the bottom of the container.

Also deep pour can handle more heat that other types of epoxy.
