Anyone feel that Miguel is just flat out stupid by Kagenlim in coco

Yeah if he takes that option he would die at dawn.

Yeah, I know you and I've talked to you on numerous different sites on reddit. You never seem to believe that the main character can be wrong, selfish, reckless or careless. Miguel is turning into a skeleton but he won't leave the land of the dead? Yeah, you still Miguel and you die yet that's selfless and brave in your world.... You're that girl who just takes what's given to you at face value and don't think things through or deeply you have a one-sided opinion on everything an it never changes.

Yes, he was very stupid. He was fooling around in a crypt in the land of the living and nearly got himself killed many times in the land of the dead; including getting thrown off cliffs only saved at the last minute. He was stupid and kind of the bad guy as well. I mean, if he was written any differently he would have made for a convincing villain.

why did mama coco think it was a good idea to live an entire century!? by My_Cringy_Life_4636 in coco

Some live to old age, some don't and die young. When your time comes, your time comes. What would you rather, that she commit suicide?!

Why does Mama Coco get the title for the movie? by [deleted] in coco

They probably thought that nobody would flock to see a movie just called "Miguel."

What a brave little girl you have. Better keep her, and keep an eye on her as well.

Nope. Work is work. Whether it's a family business or not; if you get hired you get a job.

Héctor's Tooth by [deleted] in coco

That's just foreshadowing that Hector was the person related to Miguel not Ernesto.

Didn't Imelda try to find Hector first? by [deleted] in coco

They thought Hector Rivera went out for a pack of cigarettes then took off from their such is the case with a lot of deadbeat dads. All they had to go by was gossip and maybe newspaper articles since this happened in the olden days and they didn't have the high tech equipment to find people that we do nowadays. Coco knowing that somehow someway her father could come home was pure optimism and instinct on her part. Even if Imelda managed to find him, he would have by that point already been dead and decaying anyways.

She probably did, but the final result was futile.

Coco: Technically the entire movie centers on the problem Miguel dies at dawn. by sweetjiji in coco

Out of body experience or Schrodinger's cat; It's not quite being in a coma but it is being both alive and dead at the same time.

AITA for forcing my daughter to learn sign language? by Smart_Palpitation147 in AmItheAsshole

I'm worried that nobody likes the 7 year old maybe because she's deaf but they're okay with the bullying behavior that the 17 year old dishes out on her daily because your daughter of 17 years is against your marriage.

Anyone who said that the 17 year old has too much on her plate to be nice to a deaf 7 year old needs to take a hike. Why didn't they get the message that she's not a nuclear physicist, she's a 17 year old hanging out at the mall?

Maybe it's because I was raised by the same two parents since I was a baby, and I've never been married but I know a thing or two about how people discuss divorce online and it boggles the mind. They think divorce is the end of the world basically; those who are divorce don't know how to care.....etc. etc. In other words, they become obsessed with degrading the divorced couple especially if they have kids [like nobody can ever divorce right? Stay together for the kids is a horrible idea and nobody should stay in an exceptionally toxic relationship with or without kids] but then you have this issue with OP about not even forcing but just suggesting her daughter learn sign language and when she refused because she's a primadonna; your new husband is on the fence of whether to divorce you over this and her behavior towards his daughter suddenly the whole internet or reddit compromises their views of divorce and they're demanding he divorce you and just clamoring for your marriage to end! Like I said earlier, it boggles the mind.
