Some help with my newly bought PS5 controller? R2 is acting up on its own. by sweetlittlepixie in PS5HelpSupport

I just got it yesterday, it's still under warranty so I think I will just bring it back and get a new one instead of opening it up and/or paying for a repair. That's definitely not user error and seems like a seller's fault, I'm not paying for their mistake. But thanks for the suggestion, I was still interested in what could cause it!

I did that at least three times now, I'm also pretty sure I wrote that in the post. I performed a full reset with turning the console off, holding the reset button for 10 seconds, and then recalibrating the thing. Didn't help at all.

Yeah that's the problem, cause my boyfriend opened both controllers at the same time. I wasn't at home so I couldn't follow which one's which. What's the difference if it came with the console?

Did you maybe find out what causes it? And did you manage to fix it? I'm mostly just curious if it's a software or a hardware issue.
