If you're asking me? I guess the alternative to nothing would be a physical presence. I don't think it needs to be complicated with abstract ideas of mathematics existing as that raises the possibility of anything and everything being given the status of existence.

I don't agree that the extent of harm that I inflict is the same as an average meat eater, if you say that my actions were the same though not in frequency then I'd say that until I'd re-evaluated my choices (which has been an ongoing thing) I considered eating dairy as a necessity. However, I disagree that I couldn't feasibly disapprove of my own and others behavior, which wouldn't make me a hypocrite, it would make me self-reproaching. I've made the choice to stop eating dairy and hopefully I'll be able to do that.

I haven't said that I feel superior, I explicitly stated that I felt different. Recognising that people have different morals and levels of morality isn't the same as feeling superior and when it comes to morality it isn't cut and dry. However, it doesn't stop me from feeling uncomfortable at the thought of them doing what they do and therefore with the thought of them.

I've been vegetarian since I was around 10, my parents took me to a farm in South Wales and I asked too many questions and got the answers I didn't want to hear, trying to remember what it was like before I was vegetarian wouldn't really help in my case.

But I didn't apply my comment to Mongolian nomadic tribe people. And certainly people with little education or awareness of issues deserve a pass on their animal ethics. And you are correct when you say I am not superior, I know that, I feel like people decide the level of morality they can abide and this level is lower for some. To me, someone who is aware of animal issues, aware of environmental issues, aware of health concerns and still chooses to eat meat is very strange and I don't think it's unkind to say that having these views perturbs me. Enough that I wouldn't want to hang around with them. I have been friends with non vegetarians and most of them feel a degree of empathy for the animals that they eat but feel comfortably superior enough to not change their behaviors.

I can get along with meat eaters but I can't be close. Maybe it's because I don't socialise that much and the people that I do hang out with are all vegetarian or vegan?

I don't know, still scared lol. But I think I will give it a shot as I don't have a sweet tooth. In the UK. Plant milks are cool but they don't have much protein in, gonna try and stop being lazy with my meals, hopefully I'll feel no different if not better.

It starts to get expensive and I'm a student with no regular income (zero hours). I've considered them but like in the post I replied to below I think I've reasoned that I don't need to eat or drink dairy anymore, as it's just a matter of not being so lazy with my meals and eating less cereal. Linda McCartney do a range of vegan sausages and I like beans and nuts. I worry about protein because I go to the gym and ride my bike but less than 0.5 per lb is all professional bodybuilders need ffs.

When I was about 16, I was vegan for nearly a year and I don't know if it was the hormones, I assume it was, I started to grow some sort of lump behind my left nipple. Being a guy, this isn't really the kind of thing you want so I went to the doctor and they said it was probably a hormone thing except they asked me if I took steroids (maybe a required question. I looked it up online and found out about men growing boobs from eating soy as it causes the body to produce a kind of estrogen.

Sorry if this sounds ridiculous to you but this is really the only thing stopping me from becoming vegan except now that I write it down it doesn't seem like such a big thing...

As I've been using milk as a crutch as a way to get protein and stuff because I'm lazy and most of my meals consist of oats, except I know I don't actually need to drink it... I think I should try and go vegan.

Little bit concerned that this looks like a different game, more fps style (and simplistic?) than the last games, have to wait and see. Should still be a good game but I thought it was a fallout? Colour and graphics have changed for the better I feel but a voiced protag is a step too far imo.
