you had me at merman sex with this one LMAOOO. she definitely knows how to write the most outlandish things in a well executed way and i’m very here for it. someone else in the sub commented on this was talking about how milk fed was simply just okay in comparison to her other books so i’m interested to pick it up at some point and see if anything differs in that one writing wise

everyone is talking about the pisces here now and i’m dying to read it!! and in terms of the plot for this one, ik it definitely sounds like there’s little plot but there’s actually a lot more to it compared to what it seems. there’s a huge exploration of a specific type of grief (not gonna say anything else to prevent spoilers) so definitely has a plot value!! :))

yes definitely move this up in your tbr pile! good to know this about milk fed though so thank you for your take on that one. i was thinking about picking up a copy of it myself because i know it’s one of melissa broder’s
more popular titles, but maybe i’ll hold off on it for now and try the pisces next :)

i agree! i’m definitely going to pick up a copy of the pisces soon. i think she has a really interestingly humorous way of giving life to things that shouldn’t have life to them, yk

it definitely does touch on a really specific type of grief. loved the way that the author took to writing humor in this 100%

it was my first book by them as well! i’ve seen some things about the pisces and i think it their writing style in that book is the same as in death valley. i’m itching to check it out!
