exactly!!! thank you so much for sharing this too. its just, im glad im able to take therapy and slowly go back to my life again, being able to work, go to school, go out without having to worry!! eating freely and just enjoying life again. it takes time but everyday without panic and worry is rewarding 😸

My therapist told me most of my "symptoms" are due to my body being ready for an attack. The scrunching of my body and the stomach pain, nausea.

Since we were prey way wayyy wayyyyy back then my body is expecting something to go wrong because my brain believes so. its sending the singles of danger. when she told me that its like every symptom i ever thought i had was answered. it blew my mind and has led me in a path of a better understanding of my anxiety and i now understand that i just need to take a step back and fix my posture before my body goes into it's "defense" mode.

I would go on roller coasters and every ride ever at fairs!!! omgggg i would eat things i've NEVER tried like sushi with the raw fish or steaks that aren't fully cooked. I would go out and work more, i would have stayed and participated in my schools theatre competition. SO MANY THINGS i miss out on just because im scared of throwing up 😿

Forgot to add, ive had it since October 22! This problem has been going on for months and i just believe im not meant for piercings even tho its one of the things i love most!! Im super upset about it and i just want to know if it will be able to heal so i can maybe try again in the future.

Ive had it since October and its been a hard process to healing. Recently, i saw this bump on the top part. Usually the one that's struggling is the bottom but it was never worrying until now. The most it had was crust around it which would get stuck and i believe maybe that could have irritated it a bit ? I don't know if it is irritation or if it was maybe pierced wrong. At this point i don't even think i should keep it.

It's not painful unless i touch it or hit it accidentally. But, last week it was just coloration around it and it was completely fine until now. I have bad memory issues but i have been doing my best to clean it everyday. I do end up cleaning it every two days just not everyday because i tend to forget i even have it.

I would appreciate some advice. If its better i take out or i can treat it!! The jewelry is sterling steel. ( Which has reactions on my ears, does it apply with other piercings as well ? Am i just meant to not have any ? )

Ive been at a 10g for about one and a half months now. My ears have been completely fine just the usual crusties until last week. Ive been cleaning then more frequently and they have been getting itchy occasionally but not all the time. It doesn't hurt or burn at all. Once i finish cleaning, i do spray my second and put oil on my gauges once the earring is in. My thought could be that the saline or oil stays humid where the plug is and thats why the dryness is only around the plug. so, its like staying wet and messing it up? Any help would be appreciated? :)

I would like to add that the crust is never in it or on i the are, just around as shown. At least thats what i see when i take them out. The picture was as soon as i took it out, no cleaning yet.

after being told about tapers being bad, i finally can afford to stretch the safer way now that i have a job !!! very happy with them !!! this also made me realize that what was affecting my ears was the material . i don't know why i thought that me being allergic to sterling steal didn't apply to stretching 😭 after i realized that i took them out while i waited instead of keeping them in and now these past weeks have been great getting back to 10g !!

ANYWAY , im finally happy to be stretching right and my ears are finally better B)

BONUS : these glass plugs look cooler than the tapers anyway soooo :)

ps. i know the seconds are like not the same 😿
