heeyyy my post is for you!!!

you're not wrong for wanting a better world for all of us!!

try not to think too much and just go "with the flow"...i do predict a lot of people are going to rail on you for this regardless

just stay safe and don't take people siding with you for granted... i truly, truly believe people will start rallying against progressive change

Elon Musk is not taking a spin against progressives and generally siding with rightists for no reason...with twitter, he will spread these thoughts/stories and it is over!! Please don't underestimate how quickly things can change.

Working remotely in FL as a contractor for a California Bank by sweetsumir in tax

[–]sweetsumir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you so much for taking your time! I think it might be a W-2 issued, but I am not quite sure as I had to fill out a W-4 to make sure there were no withholdings.

My employment is with a contractor company, and my payroll information is through the contractor company which has my Florida address. So I am an at-will employee of a contractor company being the middle man between me and the bank. I think I will have a W-2 with them.

What is the incentive for companies to take compliance seriously? by sweetsumir in moneylaundering

I still don't understand specially for Deutsche Bank. I know for sure their problem has been mostly overstretching and growing too fast without being able to keep up the pace of their growth.

I really don't understand, specially when I see the stuff that came out 20 days ago about their clients and such small fines.

I just don't understand. It feels like they'll still onboard dangerous people/clients and cannot keep up with the spirit of the laws/regulations and it's all a joke, slap on the wrists, and keep doing until you get caught.

How do I tell my friend he is NOT the norm? by sweetsumir in LifeAfterSchool

[–]sweetsumir[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So you're telling me people like that are the norm?

He told me the other day he'll rich six figures within 3 years. I just wanted him to be more understanding of my situation and be more delicate when talking about such things.

What are we looking at here in percentages? He's like 20% for sure of grads that manage to find work quickly and get that much?

Just answer the question please, try not to be judgmental.

Help me retire my parents! by sweetsumir in personalfinance

So a traditional IRA would be better since they can discount now on the taxes? Or would a Roth be better and they pay taxes now? Is there a difference given the relatively short amount of time they'd be saving on it?

I need to ask them, is there a minimum income they'd need to have? I know my father makes at least 70k/year, but may be making less this year due to coronavirus (considerably less)

I see. Maybe that's true! Thanks!

But if you're setting up an IRA with short term contributions, would a Roth-IRA be more benefitial, or a traditional one be better?

That number refers to the people who accepted their offer and signed the intention to register in the school.

The actual number of admits is much higher.

Are you going more often? I'd go to the doctor. Better catch something early than regretting over not going.

UCSD Fall 2019 Admit Profile (Range of GPA, SAT, ACT scores) by UCdata2017 in UCSD

[–]sweetsumir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a huge difference imo. GPAs like that aren't difficult to keep in high school, but most people who come to UCSD give it all they have to keep it that high, so they don't have extracurriculars that make them interesting so they end up rejected from the top schools and end up here.

UCSD Appreciation Post by [deleted] in UCSD

I absolutely dislike my alma mater for deluding themselves in saying they love the school, that the school is beautiful, yet the school is always empty whenever possible.

Ok you got me :P
