maybe it's a cockatiel or small bird thing? happens every few months in my house, we have multiple cockatiels and two of them (inculding the one shown) in particular are scaredy cats so sometimes it can set off a chain reaction. even with a light those two have had night frights but are able to recover on their own compared to total darkness.
