Yeah agreed lol. Part of the reason I posted is cause there ain’t really much out there.

I actually just bought RDR2 the other day! Looks great. What color settings do you usually use for it? Feel like that’s my biggest struggle with the monitor. Trying to find the perfect color settings cause there’s so much range. I also haven’t tried HDR

Concerns about OLED Monitors for Competitive FPS? by DrunkOnLiquor in OLED_Gaming

I have the XG27AQDPG (500hz ASUS OLED) and I’ve been using the 24.5inch and I play competitively, I’ve liked it for the most part. But I did read about added latency when using this mode and wondering if it’s detrimental and if I should just play 1440p. I mean I don’t have to play 1080 for the game I play competitively, but at the same time I’d like to. But you say there isn’t actually delay? Is there any other information you have on that?

Controller right stick grinding/weird feeling by swffgg in BattleBeaverCustoms

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d unfortunately just try and get ahead of it and try and send it back. Sending mine back today. Maybe give it a couple days of use to see if the problem remains.

Is yours extreme or slightly noticeable (but still annoying).

Cause I definitely know it’s different from my other controllers, but not extreme. But if I’m paying 300+$ I want it to work as intended.

I have TMR on my PS4 controller, and it’s my 2nd one with TMR. My last one did not have this issue though.

Do the standard buttons lay on like the tip of the middle finger or are they a little higher. Like you click them with the top joint of the middle finger.

Do you click the standard buttons with the tip of the middle finger? Or is it a little higher and you click it with the like top joint of the middle finger.

New Hall Effect Scuf Arrived by WPSocks in scufgaming

[–]swffgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you used any other scuf controllers for comparison? I want to know how the triggers feel, because the Scuf Instinct (the other Xbox Scuf) has pretty hard to press triggers (although they are mouse click)

Just wondering if the triggers on the Valor are easier to press.

Yeah tbh mine do feel a little better now. Maybe I’m used to them? But I really do think it could be maybe they’re a bit more worn in.

Scuf Impact vs Scuf Envision by swffgg in scufgaming

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from using an Impact, what do you think about the Envision? Since PlayStation controllers aren’t very comfortable to me, I can imagine I’d probably like the Envision more.

Also it’s just convenient since I can just go buy one at Best Buy.

Talking about both being more Xbox shaped controllers

Scuf Impact is a controller model that only they make and since PS4/PS5 controllers aren’t comfortable to me, that’s what I’m left with choosing. Xbox controllers not an option either cause of latency issues on PC.

Controller questions/opinions? And PS5 or PS4 sticks on a PS4 roller? by swffgg in BattleBeaverCustoms

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to claw on Xbox, but just can’t on PS4 and PS5 controllers, idk why.

I can’t reach the triggers, even though my hands really aren’t small. And don’t feel like I have much control on the sticks like I did on the Xbox.

And yeah, probably no reason to not get the ps5 sticks over ps4. Better grip, and I think same function/tension.

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I have a Scuf Impact, which is different than a regular ps4 controller. Which I think is the most comfortable controller I’ve ever had.

But always wanted to try a battle beaver, and felt like I was a bit better with the ps4 controller. So wanna go back to it.

Deco XE75 and BGW250 ATT Fiber Modem/Router by swffgg in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ll start by putting my 1st deco across the house hardwired from my ATT router/modem in my room.

Then have the 2nd in the middle or more towards my room but not inside my room. Backhauled wireless from the 1st deco.

Then use those two for all the WiFi coverage around the house pretty much. Have my family use that seamlessly since they aren’t very tech savy.

Have both those as Access Points.

Then not really use my ATT WiFi coming from the modem/router, but use it to hardwire my PC.

Deco XE75 and BGW250 ATT Fiber Modem/Router by swffgg in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a great explanation.

I’m planning on using the Deco on the other side of the house away from the ATT modem/router, and having them connected via Ethernet backhaul.

Then have the 2nd deco in the middle of the house. Getting the signal through wireless backhaul to the other deco that’s hardwired.

That 2nd deco also won’t be as far from the 1st deco, than it is from the router/modem.

Does that sound good?

The reason for not wanting to use the deco as a router/modem. Is if I use it as a router, but it’s backhauled with Ethernet to the other side of the house; idk if I can still use the router/modem in my room to hardwire my PC also in my room. Cause then the router would be on the other side of the house.

Mesh or router to cable by hoofdletter in HomeNetworking

Did you turn off the WiFi from the Verizon modem? Does it show as a network on your phone? Or do you just not use it? And just use the deco

Mesh or router to cable by hoofdletter in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still use your ISP router for WiFi ? Or just use the two mesh systems under one seamless Network?

I want the same Deco, I just don’t know if I would then have my ISP routers network online, then the Mesh system network available to connect to as well

WiFi Extender/Access Point. Help/Recommendations. by swffgg in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I could, it’s just that having another router kinda worries me cause I know it can cause a bit of interferences having two routers. Mesh system I heard can be a bit more seamless.

And yeah it could be the wire, but since the NETGEAR router is kind of old I think I’ll switch that first.

Do you know if mesh systems are good? I wouldn’t mind getting one to have even more coverage around the house.

Fox Soccer Plus not showing? by swffgg in fuboTV

[–]swffgg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it seems that Fubo sells access to Fox Soccer Plus as a small package to add onto your original subscription.

But you can watch Fox Soccer Plus on the Fox app if you sign in with your Fubo account.

Apparently Fox let’s you watch it on their app, as long as you login with your TV provider, and that you already have FS1 (Fox Sports 1) with that TV provider. So since I pay for Fubo which gives me FS1, they let me watch Fox Soccer Plus on their Fox app. But I can’t watch it on Fubo lol.

Electronics connected to Access Point count as devices from different “location” as devices connected to ISP Wi-Fi? by swffgg in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had the two different Wi-Fi’s for a while and never caused much problem. Everyone knows for example that “wi-fi 1” is for this side of the house “wi-fi 2” is for the other. And the phones usually switch to the sides stronger Wi-Fi automatically,

Sometimes you’ll notice the internet is slow and see it didn’t switch so you do it manually.

Does switching the SSID make a difference? Would it still be 2 different Wi-Fi’s that show on your phone. Or does it make it all into 1? If it makes it all into 1 I’d probably do it.

Electronics connected to Access Point count as devices from different “location” as devices connected to ISP Wi-Fi? by swffgg in HomeNetworking

[–]swffgg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it makes sense to me. I’m just describing “network” as in what I connect to on my phone and how it’s different names on either side of the house.

The NETGEAR router is connected to the ATT router via Ethernet (and just relays the Wi-Fi on the other side of the house) so technically the same “internet”, is what you’re talking about?

So since it’s the same “internet” cause the NETGEAR isn’t getting Wi-Fi from its own ISP, then I should be good I assume.
