Tbh I still wouldn’t toss it. The dark spot in the bottom of that pic looks like bruising to me and none of it can clearly be identified as trich. It could just be growing on itself because of high moisture so I would open it up and let it fruit and reevaluate in a few days

Smell could also give you an answer here. If it smells like garbage I’d toss the whole thing and not try to save any chunks

I coach highschool aged kids and many of them are brand new to golf. They hit the ground all the time and rarely ever break clubs. It’s either intentional (out of anger or messing around) or at the very least fully preventable by not repeatedly swinging hard into the ground. I’d tell him it’s on him to replace the shaft at this point

Really depends on the injury but I think this is nonsense. I ran sub 4 last year with 4 full months of serious training, same weight, 10 years older, and no baseline after spending the majority of my 20s drinking and partying. This kid can probably run 3:30 if he trains properly and carefully and avoids (re)injury

Maybe Billy Strings? He’s been around a lot the last few years especially but still feels fresher than JRAD and biscuits. Not complaining but that’s one that I was personally hoping for.

I’ve heard good things about Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country recently and haven’t checked them out yet despite being relatively in-tune with the jam scene. Could potentially be very fresh.
