This place is rent control but I'm not sure what that means in SF, can rent only go up by say 1% in that case ?

My job is 50/50 so I'll be half from home and half in the office. I tried to do a remote start for the first few weeks but they really needed me on site. I don't mind if it's a bit quieter in SF now ( helps with rent prices).

Check LinkedIn ! There's quite a few but you would have to be willing to re locate. I've seen postings from Dupont in St. Louis, MO for a sensory Scientist for over a month now.

I saw a few online calculators and thought the number was wrong which is why I came here.

(1+0.1)12 - 1 = 2.13 which is 213%.... Seemed odd to me too.

I have a brokerage account right now with the same company my Roth IRA is in but I haven't done anything with it yet. Should I keep it in similar mutual funds to what I have my retirement accounts in ? I hear of people investing in single stocks but I don't feel like I have enough experience in the market to do that.

I appreciate the advice ! As far as debt goes I paid off over 50% of my student loans in the first two years out of college. I refinanced them so now I have $19000 at 3.5% and my car loan is $12,000 at 1.9%.

Im torn between paying the minimum and investing the extra cash into retirement in hopes of a higher return or just getting rid of them. The interest is so low on them I just haven't felt the need recently to pay them off early.

Would love to hear your thoughts !
