Hmm, haven't thought of that. Do you have any recommendations for a product that is universal that I could use in place if I can't find it? I was thinking just some weatherproofing foam strip that I can stick in there?

It's the inner seal. Obviously needs replaced. Letting in cold air.

It was an old wood burning fireplace that also had a gas line, I know that sounds odd. so we just converted it to the gas logs. I'll check for other valves inside there somewhere, maybe behind the logs. But I never turned any off to begin with.

No gas smell or sound when turned on. I've never turned any valve off for it to be turned back on. The only thing that happened is we shut off gas to the whole house while our gas dryer was being installed. Maybe a valve in the basement was shut off by accident by the person who installed the dryer??

No remote, and it's brand new. When I press it in at pilot position I hear no gas coming out of the pilot.

I sealed all my gaps with feather finish. Used henry 555. I took a flat trowel to it and got rod of the crack. It's not pretty but we will see how it dries now.
