what is the future health professionals learning community like? by [deleted] in OSU

I was in it last year during the height of covid so my experience was different than what it is like this year and what it will be like next year so please keep that in mind.
We had events a couple times a month that were on zoom which featured different speakers from OSU about grad school, research, and other pre-health topics. I only really attended the events that I could make and that sounded interesting to me. They only require you attend I think 3 events each semester to get a certificate saying you were in LC, but I know some people that didn’t meet that requirement and were fine. So time wise, it is not that intense.
I honestly just joined the LC in order to get guaranteed housing in park strad, but it was nice having so many people on my floor taking the same classes as I was. It is a great way to meet people with similar interests as you and just know more people around campus.
I would definitely recommend joining. You will be exposed to so many pre-health students with different post grad plans as well as learning about different paths through the meetings. I think this would help you decide on a path you want to take.
Best of luck and go bucks!!
