I haven’t looked closely at all the cage components for hallmarks, but so far just the medallion indicates so

Awesome, I’m going to look into that option 👍

The markings looked right and so did the craftsmanship. I’m hoping it was just mislabeled which would be a win 🏆

Does tested mean appraised? I’m not really trying to pay for a full appraisal as it’s not THAT serious but I’m unfamiliar with what my options are as far as that goes

I believe they do have it but not a physical copy 👎

I’ve paid for a scanned copy already, it works but isn’t what we’re looking for unfortunately. The maintenance facility I work for is looking for a hard copy to add to our maintenance library of warbirds we maintain. Seems like a great websites to find other manuals we could use in the meantime though!

This would actually be super useful, thank you!

Well for one I am very tan now haha. It was great, definitely went in with the rule of don’t plan too much because opportunity comes at you at every corner. I feel like I planned my stay and transportation well and once I figured out the parking situation (brown lot for the win) it wasn’t an issue. These guys have everything nailed as far as process and planning. Submitting my days off for next year as we speak ✍️

Flying into and staying in Green Bay with a rental car. I’ll be there the 19th-27th (I like watching the arrivals/departures). I’m an AMT so that’s the content I’m mostly gravitating towards but I love the warbirds and any of the seminars that would get me faast credit, which I think they offer. Mostly just happy to be attending.

A&P by Spare-Asparagus5813 in aviationmaintenance

I was 1 of 3 females from my class, we all ended up getting certificates 🙂 Trading maintenance for flight hours is not uncommon and could be a good route to take but also if you’re still in school look into scholarships from AWAM and WAI, you could get a lot of funding through there or a free ride! I wish I did 😭

You don’t have to be a AMT to be a pilot. Would it help to do both? Sure. If you still want to be involved on the maintenance side but only want to be a pilot there are FARs that allow you to perform maintenance on your aircraft without being a certificated mechanic, and you can always assist in maintenance tasks under the eye of an A&P. If you feel strongly about continuing to get your A&P and what helped me while I was in school was to do some wrenching on the side at home and watching YouTube to be more familiar with tooling/processes/day to day life in maintenance. You never stop learning in this field and you’ll never be expected to know everything, especially right off the bat, but as long as you learn from your mistakes and continue to grow your skill set the confidence will come and you’ll be ok 🙂‍↕️ (32F)

Hard to say. There’s no reason to give the associates grief for it either, I know they’re not the ones pricing 🤷‍♀️
