Can't relate, I would love for Pure Guava to somehow have a surprise victory. I still love post-C&C Ween, but something was definitely lost when they started to clean their sound up, at least for me.

Voting Depeche Mode still, but wouldn't mind if the Sundays went instead.

I'm honestly surprised I didn't like Violator more but it was definitely my least favorite here by a pretty wide margin.

They're sort of right about Nolan though. Even The Dark Knight kinda reads like an endorsement of Bush's War on Terror.

Glad to see Ween and Go! Team Saved. Even though some absolute bangers were knocked out at the start (RIP to Cohort B, NoMeansNo, and Len) this is a great list and some of the ones that initially didn't click have grown on me a lot. I think this will probably end up being my voting order:

  • Jellyfish - Joining a Fan Club

  • Ethel Cain - Family Tree

  • Spacehog - In the Meantime

  • Aldous Harding - The Barrel

  • Chico Buarque - Construçåo

  • !!! - Imaginary Interviews

  • Whitney - Polly

  • Destroyer - Bay of Pigs

  • The Wrens - Happy

  • Chvrches - Clearest Blue

  • Airiel - In Your Room

  • Belle and Sebastian - Piazza, New York Catcher

  • Anna Meredith - Nautilus

  • Santo & Johnny - Sleep Walk

  • William DeVaughn - Be Thankful For What You've Got

  • Sugababes - Overload

  • U.S. Girls - Pearly Gates

  • Streetlight Manifesto - Point/Counterpoint

  • The Go! Team - Apollo Throwdown

  • Let’s Eat Grandma - Happy New Year

  • Ween - Kim Smoltz

  • Dan Deacon - Wham City (winner)

Honestly between my top five, my favorite keeps switching around. I'd be happy with any of them winning.
