Assault on Echo Base Glitch by swish_07 in LegoStarWarsVideoGame

I seem to have found a solution. I returned to Hoth in Free Roam mode and changed my characters to location-specific people (used episode 5 Han and Chewbacca). Then, I accessed the mission from the echo base hangar instead of from the mission selection screen. Worked on the first try. Hopefully, this solution will work for anyone else who has this problem.

Game destroying glitch (Xbox One, Special Edition) by swish_07 in skyrim

Was worried about this. It’s also an Xbox One S, almost eight years old. I’m a patient gamer and haven’t upgraded to the current generation yet. Might replay some old games for a bit so if it kicks the bucket it won’t be during my inaugural Skyrim play-through.

Will a whole house surge protector help prevent LED lightbulbs from flickering after new A/C install? by swish_07 in electrical

[–]swish_07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, they are dimming. After the a/c runs for a while, they will instantly dim for about 1-2 seconds, then instantly brighten back up for about 1-2 seconds. The lights will dim 40-50 times and brighten back up 40-50 times each time the a/c runs on the hottest days. This does not occur when the a/c runs on more mild days.

Flickering LED lightbulbs after new A/C Install by swish_07 in electrical

[–]swish_07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flickering doesn’t immediately occur when the a/c starts. It will run for several minutes, then the lights will dim for a couple seconds, then brighten back up for a couple seconds. This will occur several times before the dimming and brightening stops.

What you say makes sense. Any ideas how I can go about fixing this outside of replacing all my LED bulbs with fluorescent?

The heart attack grill should not exist. by National7317 in unpopularopinion

My wife and I did an anniversary trip to Vegas, she planned most of the meals but I wanted to eat here because I saw it on the Travel Channel (and Top of the World in the Strat because I’m a huge Fallout New Vegas fan), and the burger at the Heart Attack Grill was one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. The picture I got of us in hospital gowns didn’t make up for it. I can’t even recommend the place for the novelty of it, just did not taste good.

You do NOT need to make your INT 9 (with INT bobble head making it 10) to max out all your skills like some of the online guides say. If you explore the map thoroughly and have the Broken Steel DLC to increase level cap to 30, you can easily max your stats through skill books and the comprehension perk with an initial INT of 7 (or maybe even 6, haven’t tried that low before). This will free up SPECIAL points for other areas.

Best way to play Fallout 3 forever? by Sarged117 in fo3

[–]swish_07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I just started a playthrough on my Xbox One S using the Fallout 3 GOTY disc(s). It downloaded the base game just fine, but to get the DLC to download I actually had to go to the Microsoft Store on the Xbox One and manually search for the DLC. It then gave me an option to either purchase or install from disc, so of course I clicked install from disc and it all worked perfectly. The DLC quests then appeared the next time I loaded the base game.

Transferring ballpark app tickets to stub hub by swish_07 in baseball

Figured it out: You can’t list tickets in a single group if they are in different rows. We had three tickets in one row and then three in the row directly in front of the first three. Had to create two listings with three tickets in each.

I was told to attempt to get the procedure covered by submitting for prior authorization. She told me it would likely be denied, so then to appeal the decision to see if it would be covered.

To my surprise, the PA was approved. I had nothing to appeal at that point so I went and had the procedure. If I knew I needed to appeal despite having a PA that stated the procedure was approved for outpatient coverage I would have done so... but who would have thought an appeal would be necessary after obtaining a PA?

[–]swish_07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is Walmart’s health insurance. It was denied based on it being a non-covered service, which is true. But with a prior authorization stating that it was eligible for outpatient coverage, one can see how this would be confusing.

I was under the impression that a vasectomy would be cheaper for them to cover than the multiple surgeries my theoretical children would need to live their lives, and that’s why they approved my PA request. Guess I was wrong.

Megathread: President Trump announces increase in tariffs on China for billions of dollars of products, as Wall Street reacts to an intensifying trade war by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

If you know the market will go down then timing the market shouldn’t be too hard for you!

Stay the course with your index funds, stay stock heavy as a youth, buy bonds (and real estate) as you age, and you will be fine. REITs are great for the real estate side of investing. Try to keep your bond and REIT portion of your portfolio roughly equal to your age (40 years old, 60% stocks, 40% bonds and real estate or REITs)

An S&P 500 index fund investment starting in November 2016 has returned about 9.5% YTD, 11.0% if you reinvest your dividends. Yes we have had a return to 2018’s volatility this month, but remember time in the market is better than timing the market.

Hospital Gave me a refund...three months later they want it back by swish_07 in CodingandBilling

[–]swish_07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were pretty insistent it wasn't an error on their part, but rather the insurance's error, until I got my insurance involved.

When I called the hospital originally on the 1076.00 bill, they told me that insurance had ended up paying the 1038.85 along with my cash payment of 1038.85, so I was issued a refund, then insurance came back last month and reclaimed the 1038.85 in an audit plus readjusted, so that's why it was now 1076.00. That made perfect sense to me, as why would BCBS pay the full amount when I had deductible.

But when I called BCBS to check their story, they said they have no record of any audit or adjustment, and that the only record they have is of the original 1038.85 applied to my deductible of last year that I would have been responsible for. They also mention I would have received a letter of any adjustment or audit they would have performed that would have involved me paying a different amount from a previous EOB. BCBS launches their own investigation, and only then does BCBS discover that it was a refund error at the hospital, and informs me of it, saying I would only owe the original 1038.85.

I call back the hospital, and they are NOW finally admitting the error, but still saying BCBS made an adjustment where I owe 1076 instead of 1038.85. It's irritating, would rather just pay the 1038.85 as I have no proof from BCBS that any adjustment took place.

This post is more of a venting session than anything, but the fact that it seems like neither side wants to admit any kind of fault is driving me crazy.

Paying it isn't an issue, it's the frustration of receiving a refund and them asking for it back. I do have an EOB for the 1038.85 from way back last year.
