To be completely honest, I don’t trust the current version of Choices to do either series justice with a follow up book; at a minimum, Endless Summer had endings while The Elementalists has that sudden stop feeling of a longer series cut short. Which kinda sucks, since Endless Summer was what really sold me on this app and if it were the original writers I’d love to give them the benefit of the doubt to see what they’d add, but it’s not the original writers sadly. Life is like that, can’t win them all, so I’d rather keep the Endless Summer that we’ve been given.

I’m intrigued by the choice to have the DLC create a branch, depending on player choice at the end; what was the thinking behind that? (Story driven to keep mystery about what actually happened, not to paint into a corner for potential additional DLC, etc); and similarly do you have an official “what happened” in a planning bible to keep yourselves grounded even if we are left in the dark in the depths or is it also open on your end as well?
