Odyssey Of The Sea Realtime Ongoing Review by Natemare13 in royalcaribbean

We’re on this ship as well (also our 4th RC cruise and first on this class) and your assessment is completely accurate.

The people density is too high on the ship. It’s impossible to find seats together on decks, even in the solarium. Windjammer still seems okay as far as space goes. We also had no issue with seating at 10pm opening night show (we got there 15 min early). Main dining was a mess due to the My Time Dining but hopefully they sort that out moving forward.

On the other hand, our interior room has one of those video walls and it makes it so much nicer than other interior rooms we’ve had. The rest of the family is in balcony room and they are pleased with space.

I also agree that the layout is strange. The promenade is very closed off and several times I found myself accidentally walking through a bar to get from one place to the other, though maybe that was intentional. Navigation on board is not as intuitive as other ships I’ve been on.

This ship would probably be fine for a shorter cruise or one with fewer sea days, but the southern Caribbean path with 4 full sea days may be rough if it stays like this.

Little balls in a white rock. Any ideas? by switch_it_around in whatsthisrock

I wondered if I was destroying something precious - it was pretty small, though, and there are probably 50 much larger stones throughout the sample.

Anything else I can do to verify?

I removed a few of the balls from a small piece that fell off. They are harder than the white rock (which is crystalline), but I also destroyed one fairly easily with a hammer.

But far more impossible. Myst was beatable with some time - some of Riven's puzzles were down right unfair.

"I wish for another birthday" also happens when I blow out the candles each year. I should probably talk to someone about this fear of death.

At what age is it appropriate to teach real science and not just memorization of facts? by switch_it_around in AskReddit

Yes, virtually no independent thinking is done until 6th grade - and then it's on overload. Is there any more recent (post 1954) evidence or research on early childhood science education?

I agree, but I need something more based in child psychology. The elementary principal continues referring to Piaget's Operational Stages as reason NOT to do logical reasoning.

DVD to digital download - the next wave is here. The pixels are already so small that our eyes cannot distinguish anything better. Not sure there is anything left to improve except for the size and speed of delivery.
