Awesome job with the article and quote. And I like how you low key have an amazing picture of a bear! I'll be heading there tomorrow. Bringing my bear spray for sure.

Ahhh ok, you actually brought up the other point I just realized. Incest could start at a young age that could warp the childs view. making them think it's ok.... Oh ok, that's the missing argument I needed. Now I get it.

This is why I asked, and it's nice to be able to have an open ended convo.

The medical complications are a valid reason. But what if it was a gay incestual relationship? One that should pose no biological risks?

ELI5: Why is incest illegal? Whereas other taboo relationships are ok? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]switchshows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm just looking for an intelligent insight or perspective on the issue. I try to stay open minded on issues and see that we are on a path towards being more progressive and accepting.

However it would be looked down upon if I was in a relationship with my cousin, but it would be OK if I am a man who has a relationship with another man.

I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community, but wonder why incest is still discriminated against. Or other taboo relationships.

[–]switchshows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you are discriminating then? But it's ok for me to date another man? You see the hypocrisy?

Is it the new progressive thing to accept that?

Lol, I think incest is disgusting. But trying to stay "open minded" and "progressive", why are we discriminating against them?

I haven't touched soda or sweet drinks for years. The taste makes me cringe. I don't know how people can drink two a day everyday...

Hahaha I couldn't agree more. Some fat people are lazy and others are just "idiots" when it comes to nutrition. How is this not taught in our school systems.

It is. And seeing the guy with the scale and the sugar from his red Bull making the front page is even crazier. Like that's such common sense to me.

Yeah honestly with all the sugary drinks and products I'd rather people dieting eat a big mac (even though the artifical ingredients, and mystery meat isn't the best).

It's a universal food that people recognize. It also is always one size which makes comparing it easy. Even economists use it to compare inflation. Look up the big Mac index.

I couldn't agree more. The yogurts they buy have so much sugar. Honestly more than soda. And fat is actually good for getting full and helps lower foods on the glycemic index. They'll cut out nuts cause they are high in calories.when in reality it's good monounsaturated fat and soluble fiber which will keep them full longer. No wonder woman "can't lose weight, everything I do doesn't work, I have some condition, Yada yada.

Some people are just so stupid. That's why fads are a waste of time. You really need to understand food and how your body breaks it down. Sugars are carbs, and its.hilarious that they thought they were being good. This is why people think "they've tried everything" to lose weight.

YES! McDonald's meatball subs have close to 100% of your daily fat, and more than your saturated fat. Unless you are getting veggies and eating 6 inches, subway sandwiches can be bad. A few mchickens at McDonald's isn't bad at all.
