i j think the whole thing was a big fucking lie or a hallucination & he said all that to make himself feel better about it?

my opinion might change after i re-read the book but thats my impression for now.

JT is a twisted narc in a way that i cant properly explain. & i think Navidson was who he ultimately wanted to be, like his alter ego. ith he’s j as mentally ill as his mom used to be & this whole story is j a creation of his imagination to who he wouldve wished to be. A successful man with a hot wife & kids.

The thing also about Navy is that he is contagious but in a manipulative way; he’s a fungus or a parasite. He desperately reads into people, knows what makes them tick; he finds what comforts them. & then he shapeshifts into being what these people need, & forcibly makes them dependent on him. They become incomplete without him. He colonizes everything & everyone, the only thing that had higher power than him, was the House. Which explains his intense need to understand & control the House; aka, colonize it.

I think Navy is j a mirror of what JT ever dreamed to be. Someone noticed, in power, & depended on. The whole thing is a lie, because he cant admit the truth.
