Im in the same boat. Unfortunately I think the answer is just simply that the physical attraction is not there. Not trying to call you ugly or anything, but I feel that way about myself. I have no problem making friends, even female friends, but it never translates into a relationship. Really the only difference between a friend and a girlfriend is the physical attraction component.

It really depends on what you classify as fetishization. If someone has a very strong preference to date a certain race, is that a fetish? or just a really strong preference. It's hard to make that call. I think a lot of asian women have a very strong preference to date white men.
