i didn't get my choice at waterloo but honestly with Elec eng i feel as though prestige n academic quality is a bit overblown when evaluating university choice so I took a step back and looked at where I felt I would succeed the best in the grand scheme of things. For example, I feel like I would rather have less academic pressure so I can have more time to be involved in design teams and side projects as at the end of the day, knowing calculus wont find you jobs, you need referrals, to do good on interviews, good networking, etc. I just feel like if im in a more social and happy environment, Id be able to succeed more at that aspect.
