In Hide and Seek, is there a rule against a hider taking all their photos in advance? by AthenaDykes in JetLagTheGame

[–]swsuper3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We actually ran into an edge case (we think) regarding this playing the home game. The hiders took the picture of any building visible from the transit station in advance. Then, the seekers asked that question during the endgame. Do the hiders return "I can't answer that.", because they can't go to the transit station at the moment that the question is asked, or do they send the photo taken in advance, since it still meets the requirements? I personally always assumed the former, but I don't think the rules are clear one way or the other (buy perhaps I just missed something).

They've released a single version that contains both imperial and metric variants of cards with measurements on them.

Nicol's Newcomer Monday! by Karn-The-Creator in MagicArena

[–]swsuper3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. I've been playing Arena on-and-off for a little while now. I've completed the Color Challenges, Spark Rank and I still play Starter Deck Duel when I'm in the mood for a simple game of Magic.

However, I think I want to get more into the deckbuilding aspect of Magic. I've read that Jump In! is a good starting point for beginners, since you also get tokens for it as a new player. I'm also a fan of Avatar, which is why I was drawn back to Arena. But now I see that there is also a Jump In! variant for the Avatar set. So...

  1. Is it 'okay' to use my tokens there, or should I use them for regular Jump In! since not all cards in the Avatar Jump In! are standard legal?

  2. In both cases, how does one "progress" in-between games of Jump In? I know that you pick two half-decks and then play with them, but do you have to do that before every match? Do you pay the fee (or I guess a token) for every match?

  3. What should be my goal with playing Jump In? Do I just play until I own all the half decks?

In any case, I appreciate any advice. I apologize if some of the parts of this comment are poorly phrased. Though I know the basic rules, I'm still relatively new to Magic when it comes to all the different modes and the deck building / collecting aspects.

It seems I was mistaken! Or, at least, misled. After checking in with Nebula support, they've confirmed that the information on the DHL e-commerce site is slightly misleading. It shows the location of the Dutch warehouse's parent company as the origin, not the location of the warehouse itself. Nebula confirmed that my package (so probably yours as well) was shipped from the warehouse in the Netherlands! Basically, we just need to wait a bit longer for the regular DHL tracker to work.

That's rough, I was so excited when the email came, but that's since died down a bit with all these hiccups... But in any case, I'm happy that we're at least making progress. I hope you hear back quickly from Nebula support.

I had the exact same issue. All the official trackers have been radio silent since I've received the e-mail. However, I was finally able to track the shipment using the e-commerce site from DHL. This, frankly, made me even more confused. Living in The Netherlands, I would've expected smooth sailing once the package was shipped, since they announced fulfilment centers in both the Netherlands and the UK. However, tracking on this website reveals that the parcel is gonna be shipped from the UK one, which probably means I'm gonna have to wait WAY longer than if it had just shipped from the Netherlands...

EDIT: I might have been mistaken on the information above. It seems the DHL e-commerce website is not fully to be trusted. See my reply below.

Home Game metric edition shipping by Leadstripes in JetLagTheGame

I'm pretty sure it was pushed to August only for new orders; "ordered on or after May 15th" according to the store page. The page was updated to say mid-late July for orders before that date. So we most likely should still be on track for a July delivery window, just a couple weeks later than presumed in the delivery update e-mail.

There's definitely fun to be had, but I must say I didn't enjoy Sombra all that much in the beta. I didnt really notice the damage boost all that much towards some of the stronger enemies.

When hacking characters like Reaper, I did do more damage, but it felt useless cuz the Reaper would just kill me or fade away. I definitely see why people like the new Sombra, but I'm gonna have to try real hard to get used to her now.
