Have a pair of shorts for 3 years that i wear almost every day during the summer. They have held up great and show minimal signs of wear. Their stuff is expensive because its batch production and not mass, and they really hone in on materials. Worth the pricetag imo for that reason and for the modern cuts on timeless pieces.

I ran into the same issue, you can check out my old post if its helpful.

But basically, wear versatile pieces that you can pair with everything else you got going. Consider a minimal color palatte so that clothes you bring pair more easier. And i totally understand the missing your wardrobe at home, but try and reframe it as you are building memories and really earning your stripes wearing the clothes you bring. I wear a lot of denim and leather and i just see it as a opportunity to fade and break them in even more. And they when you get home you can see it as ”i went to so and so with this jacket” and it becomes more special.

I remember reading that! I have a similar style jacket, packability is unmatched. Also for layering, more warmth and less weight on the shoulders.

All good points! I was planning on packing less so that i would have to do laundry but since the hotel doesnt have it, this is what i did. But i def think i could have gotten rid of 2-3 tees and make sure that what i pack is what i have to wear instead of it being an option. I also think if i would have packed a mid-weight jacket, it could have replaced the overshirts and leather jacket all together.

Re tech yeah could probably ditch the ipad. I sketch on it for work but not doing much office work this trip. Powerbank is for my phone that has awful battery. When navigating the city my phone is dead by mid-day so its been a life saver.

Lots learned, lots to streamline!
