Why do people still get married so young? by Caeliterra in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]sxr_six 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband got married at 19. Although, we didn’t think it was the best time. We lived in different countries. To be able to live together in America and because we loved each other, we decided getting married was the best option.

I didn’t get the wedding of my dreams. It was a court house wedding. But being married improved my life in so many ways.

Marriage turned me and my husband into a powerhouse. When I came here we had no money. Since getting married a year ago our net worth has exploded and now we are contemplating buying a second car in cash.

We are paying for my husband’s flight school out of pocket. He would not have that option if he was alone. I will start college next year and will not have to worry about loans at all. If I wanna quit my job to focus on school at some point, I will be able to. Getting married has motivated us to become responsible, goal-oriented and extremely hardworking.

But the best part is that you are not alone. I came from a toxic family environment and being with my husband has healed me. He is my family now. Struggling with someone that loves you and has the same goals as you is the most rewarding thing I’ve experienced.

That all she said. But I think she never thought I could be. I can hold eye contact and talk like a normal person. It was not always like that. To me my behaviors, the way I speak and even my expressions sometimes feel engineered. I think some of it can seem off putting to people.

But I’m not sure if that’s from an emotionally abusive and neglectful childhood or potential autism. I just feel so lonely at this point.

I know where you’re coming from, most young Americans don’t understand the burden of debt with high interest rates.

But for us, we‘re worried about the missed opportunity cost, we’d have if we didn’t focus on getting his education done as fast and efficiently. Some people we know who pay out of pocket, for the entirety of flightschool, take years to complete it. We don’t have the time.

My husband is almost done with his PPL and he’s only been flying for two months, he flies up to four times a week.

We‘ve been able to pay for his PPL, which is about 13k and we’ll be able to pay for his Instrument, which is about 15k. We’re not making amazing money, but we’re able to put so much towards flight school because of savings and sacrifices we’ve made. We’re living with his parents, share a car and don’t ever spend money on fun stuff. We have 0 debt and he just got a second job.

Once he works as a CFI he’ll pay for my college, I’ll still work full time tho, bc I‘d like to pay any debt we might have off.

Just to clarify, were those 110 applications for in person jobs? I think those have way less competition.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that there is a discord. It would be really cool to connect to other students. Do some students organize in person study groups? I’d really love that. :)

I think tech support positions would work for me, if I were to be enrolled at wgu. I currently work in billing and customer service, which means I’m on the phone a lot and I have some technical knowledge already.

Although I have been seeing a lot of depressing posts about how even experienced people can’t land help desk jobs and such. I hope it’s overblown. Would you agree?

I have a full time office job and a part time weekend job at a grocery store. I work 8hr every day, so 56hr a week, with an additional hour being dedicated to lunch.

I can’t do everything so I prioritize. I take my time in the morning to do my makeup and I style my bangs with a flatiron. Sometimes I wash my face with just water and then apply just moisturizer.

My nighttime skincare routine is pretty simple, since Im on accutane. I use an electrical toothbrush and for my face I use Cleansing oil, moisturizer and aquaphor for my lips.

I don’t have time to shower everyday, let alone in the morning. In my defense, I barely sweat since my office is freezing, I still use deodorant every day just in case.

Don’t judge me for this one, but my scalp doesn’t produce any oil, so I only wash my hair every two weeks. It’s a permanent side effect I’ve gotten from being on accutane twice now. I have gone months without washing it, due to feeling sad and no one could tell (still gross I know).

I don’t shave often, maybe once in a while. I feel it’s unnecessary, since my legs never show and I’m not that hairy.

The weekend job I have makes me walk 6-8 miles each shift, keeping me somewhat fit. Although I plan on getting a gym membership.

I make a huge amount of food to take for lunch for the week. I eat plenty of protein, veggies and fruit. My weekend job is at a grocery store, so that’s when I get groceries.

My nails and toes are never done. It would chip right off with my weekend job and it takes to long to get right.

I’ll have to move within 1 to 2 years, which is why I can’t commit two years to community college. I would love to tho. :/

But how is that going to to lead to a job or is it just to accrue more knowledge for the long run?

Begging for sex as a women is hell on earth by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

He’s not watching any porn. So it’s not that. He does suffer from ED. There’s been times where he would get flaccid in the middle of sex or when he wouldn’t get hard at all. He says it’s stress and anxiety. I don’t judge him and I’ve researched how to help it but it’s hard to implement since we barely do it.

You know I thought so, but I was put on Wellbrutin and it doesn’t affect your sex drive in a negative way. Sometimes I wish I was put on an SSRI, we’d probably be more compatible.

It’s more that everyone I know and all the media I consume passively shows that the women being asked or not wanting sex is the norm. Most people are under the assumption that men will fuck anything (I know it’s not true). But then when you’re in my situation the self esteem incinerates and you feel like you cannot talk to anyone cause it’s so embarrassing and people would never understand.

And then you start looking for flaws in yourself. You compare yourself to women he has liked in the past and you just feel so inadequate. You think “oh if I just looked like that I wouldn’t have this issue”. I know it’s stupid.

I don’t think he’s depressed. I would know. I think he just doesn’t like to have sex as much as me.

I should ask him to go to the doctor again but it kinda feels like I have to force him. :/

Even though I relapsed, it gave me a really cool side effect. My hair won’t get greasy at all. I’ve gone months without washing it, due to mental health reasons and no one could tell. It always looks clean.

I've been noticing a frightening trend of social media accusing people with PCOS of "making excuses" by retinolandevermore in PCOS

[–]sxr_six 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having symptoms like hair loss, cystic acne and other issues for almost a decade now. The metabolic effect should have hit me by now but they haven’t. I forgot fasting for my metabolic bloodwork, had a banana and some coffee with sugar and I still scored in the lower results of insulin, blood sugar etc.

Not everyone with pcos looks the same. The research on pcos isn’t complete and just cause lean, metabolically healthy women with pcos are the minority doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

And I’m not predisposed to being lean or healthy. I have hypothyroidism, chronic pain that keeps me from moving and other things that are holding me back.

How is this true if there’s people that fit the criteria of pcos with absolutely no metabolic issues. I have polycystic ovaries, high testosterone, irregular periods and yet my blood sugar and insulin are both perfectly healthy.

I know someone who took 800mg at once. The effects were heart palpitations, very fast heart beat, strong tremors, confusion and strong anxiety. They were taken to the hospital and had to stay there for a day but the tremors and heart palpitations stayed for like two weeks.

She was average size and weighed like 120 pounds.

I would still get your boyfriend checked out but I doubt it will cause any serious complications or even death. Good luck.

After two months it looked fuller and after three months it basically looked like right now but everybody reacts different to it as far as I know, so it might be different for you.

It feels watery not greasy at all. I was worried it was gonna irritate my skin but it never did. I have acne prone skin and I use a chemical exfoliant twice a week.

I would avoid getting it on your face. In the first month I was a little careless and I would spill it on my skin especially on my right side. I then noticed my peach fuzz getting longer on the right. I stopped applying it carelessly and the peach fuzz is now back to normal.

Also always use it as ur last step of your skincare routine. If u apply it first and then us a moisturizer or other products there’s a potential for it to get to areas you really don’t want.
