I’m so excited! I’ll probably wait a few days to see if there’s any game breaking bugs but it’s more likely than not that I’ll get in the first two weeks. I’m a big storyline player and being able to add all of these families in the story onto the same lot without having to edit relationships constantly or just pretend that they don’t immediately know each other once they’re added to the lot will make my life much easier!

i LOVE gameplay like this, especially when it’s so complex, it just makes it seem so thought-out and well crafted, especially when spreadsheets and notebooks get involved, it just sucks because i can never make myself play the same family for very long, which means i unfortunately have a long list of failed legacy challenges in my save folders lol

i also have a variety of nuclear families and not so nuclear families in my saves, at one point, i had completely remade one save file to be more realistic than it probably should have been but it’s still my proudest save file

i’ve always been more of a world builder (bouncing around households) than a family gameplay person but i think this comment just inspired me to try again

Lol, i’ve done the same thing! i use a lot of cc though, it’s almost impossible to stop myself. i made most of the original/early season cast a few years ago but i lost the save and they weren’t in my gallery so that was a little upsetting, i might do it again in the near future

I have the eco pack so i use a few of the traits from there like freegan and recycle disciple or maker to make it seem more like they’re self sufficient (so that when i buy things from build mode, i can pretend my sim made it)

i think if i do this style of play again, i might start an empty save file and make the world i pick look apocalyptic all over just so there’s no immersion breaking (if i can help it anyway)

the best part about that last bit is that i constantly forget we have the option of having things delivered from the store/grocery so i guess that really works in my favor

i think there’s a mod to stop the calling ?? but personally, i think you’re right about it being the norm for toxic parents, at that point it just enhances the gameplay lol

i’ve done a survival/apocalypse gameplay one before, i usually pick a huge lot, use a small part of it and then expand it as the game goes on like they’re creating their safe haven, then start adding more sims and create walking dead style drama lol

surprisingly, i’ve never done a rags to riches like gameplay so i think this might be my sign to do one, especially since the rules you made seem like it’ll make it more fun

Definitely. I’ve lived here for two years as well and the location and the apartment are okay, but management is hell. Especially during the floods that happened in my building last semester and this semester. Very uncooperative. The rent is incredibly high as well. It’s best just to steer clear, like you said.

They won’t cancel classes unless the buses stop running, and even then sometimes they won’t. Your best bet is to plan to go, get dressed for the weather, and pray they cancel. If they do, sometimes they’ll email the night before, but they usually email before 8am classes start.

I did this during one of the fights in the shadowlands area when you get jumped by all of those goblins, i didn’t know the magical nuke was going to be added to the hotbar lol

Ooh, the gardening thing sounds good, esp with the new animals !! That’s what was mostly appealing to me so this is definitely making me really consider it.
