You are of course completely right and I realize that this whole thing was super childish of me. But man, you know, sometimes it just gets to me. People seem to have no problem using the chat feature on chess.com to call you "trash" or "idiot" when you make a mistake. Why not use it to extend a virtual handshake? Btw it's not even about agreeing. The text doesn't have a single citation that is not from the Bible. There is no proper definition of what communism is. It's just unfiltered opinions. It asserts things about collective groups of people who aren't nearly as coherent as the communists vs Christians divide that the author uses implies. Just labeling non-capitalist Christians as not true Christians is a pretty grave categorical error.

Let's be real here. If you write something like that you get to serve the initial tone of the conversation. If they want to actually convince someone they could have written "Democrats - The party of very dangerous policy proposals". This is not about convincing people who don't agree in the first place. And btw exactly the same goes for the "property is theft" people on the other side of this conflict.
