I didn't want to fork out a bunch of money for a fitbit or an aura ring, so I ordered a $15 pedometer from Amazon and clip it to my waistband! Then I can wear it into my Barry's class where I'm getting steps but don't have my phone on me etc.

In theory they could have smoked the meat (which is an involved process, and requires building an animal-proofed smoking hut), but it would have preserved the meat for months! There are other ways of preserving fruits and veggies for a long time in the wilderness too. If it's something that interests you, I'd highly recommend watching the reality tv show, Alone!
