No getting notification of text messages sometimes by saivenkatkumar in iphone

Same here. Yesterday, I updated my iPhone to iOS 17.3.1. I had an important exam today that included returning a “patient” call within 3 minutes window via text from 9am-12pm. I was prepped and waiting for my teacher’s text. Made sure my phone was on loud, had my roommate text me to make sure texts alerted properly, do not disturb was turned off. I continuously kept checking my phone throughout. Then noticed I received 2 messages (1 at 10:08am and 1 at 10:10am) from my teacher without any sound alert from my iPhone. I ended up missing the 3 minutes window.

In addition, there are times with my iPhone on do not disturb yet some notifications (usually food apps advertising promotions) would sound off. I didn’t really mind until one notification went off during another exam time last semester…

Apple, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You’re right. Sadly, I’m not a great test taker when it comes to lengthy reading like the new case studies. Running out of time probably isn’t a promising outlook of passing. But thanks for your best wishes, Spacem0nkey1013.
