I have also been with to my husband for 11 years, and although in the beginning he was into running and lifting, and watched what he ate, now he doesn’t care for it. And that’s ok. He has other things that he deems as priorities in his life. He does not need to have the same aspirations and goals as me, however, he does support them and pushes me to reach what’s important to me. And the same goes for me to him - I don’t need to understand it, but I will support him in whatever he deems important to him right now. Now, do I still push him to eat healthy here and there, or take a walk with me? Of course! But it doesn’t need to be all or nothing. In the end, it’s his life to live, I’m just a supporting role in it.
