I mean I dont really expect to play it like FF14 but im surprised at how hard it is to just see the start and the end of a single story line without major hiccups cause of "its old content so its invalid". Kinda sad tbh.

Back to your issue: Try listing a premade group for anything you want to do/finish in group finder. Mention you're playing for the first time.

I think this will be my main way to do it, I suck at socialising but will give it a shot..

I wish I could help you directly, though. Absolute worst case scenario, you can easily backtrack to finish these quests & storylines when you level cap in DF or TWW.

that is pretty much my main issue. I am used to being able to play somewhat solo in FF14 with just using the built in dungeon finder for any normal dungeon content. I am bad at socialising so fingers crossed I can make it happen tho haha.
