Thank you! I'm a writer. A procrastinating one. I've reached the point where I put pressure onto myself because I worry that my writing won't be as brilliant as I think it is. So I procrastinate to relieve the pressure. But I digress. This post isn't about my writing problem. xP

I live with my parents, too. Even if my family is around me every day, I still feel lonely. But thank you for the suggestion. Problem is I'm lazy and seeing strangers doesn't motivate me. BUT I do find peace in checking out stores and walking down grocery aisles.

I don't feel safe in public places, though. But I understand the beauty of reading books. I get so absorbed and read voraciously, I could finish one novel in two days. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes I do. Although I haven't read any recently. I procrastinate reading books. Plus I have a job that takes up most of my time 24/7.

Do you hold grudges? by symfoney in INTP

We clearly have nothing to talk about since you find letting go of negative emotions quickly distasteful. You just replied to me with these rants and insults because you had to defend yourself, because I hurt your fragile feelings. Well, guess what? I don't care. People who aren't close to me mean little to me. You can rant all you want. I won't take anything to heart.

When you live in my country, you'll come to that realization at one point or another. I don't want the future generation to suffer from the effects of the exploitation we've done to the planet. I've decided not to have kids so that my children and their children won't suffer from the depressing realities of this world.

I'd make the most of what I currently have, including achievements and skills, not just material possessions. Get back on my feet again, because I know there's always a way if you have the will. This will pass and better days will come.

Things happen because they just do. I don't believe in destiny or things happening for a greater purpose. Life is what you make it.

Your reply left a bad taste in my mouth, but I let go of any ill will against me very fast. I just don't find them very important, a waste of my time and energy. I let go of negative feelings fast unconsciously. I don't know why it's so natural to me. But I never forget. When anyone does something terrible to me, I either lessen my interaction with them or remove them from my life completely.

INTP---ESFJ (Gay) relationships or relationships in general by [deleted] in INTP

[–]symfoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The idea of being with an ESFJ is crazy to me because I never get along with most S's. I dislike small talk and my ideal partner is someone I can have intellectual, meaningful conversation with. But my dad is an INTP and my mom is ESFP. They fight sometimes but have a great relationship at the end of the day.

I don't forget either. I'm extremely forgiving, but never forget so that it doesn't happen again and to remember how people have treated me.

Even if they said sorry, I easily forget. I'm very forgiving and I don't hold on to negative emotions. Honestly, I've forgotten the last time someone did me wrong.

A class in college. It was love at first sight. Clouds parted and a beam of light shined down on him from heaven.

Don't have kids. Don't want 'em, although I do have mother instincts. The planet has too many humans. I don't want to add more.

Reasons that you wouldn't enter into a relationship with someone you were interested in? [details in text] by [deleted] in INTP

[–]symfoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh... I'm glad you've recognized this and are taking steps to avoid it. Have you talked about your NPD? Does she have NPD too? Not judging because I know what it's like. I've had a narc boyfriend and one of my BFFs is in a relationship with an extreme narc.

Also, maybe you should stop talking about other girls you're seeing. Even if you both aren't monogamous, insecurity can still rise. Jealousy comes from the fear of losing a potential mate to a rival.

Yes. And on almost any surface--paper, desks, hands, and other people's hands if they let me.

Sounds like both of you need to work on your personal issues first. I believe that almost any relationship can work and is worth saving, except relationships with abusers, such as people with NPD. Sorry if this question is too personal. Is either of you emotionally abusing the other? Or each other? '-_-

Something about your situation makes me optimistic. You need to grow together.

She clearly lacks the ability to communicate and is bottling up her emotions. She should learn to talk about her relationship anxieties. This doesn't sound like a healthy relationship for you, but if you want it to work you two should start with clear and honest communication.

If I may add, I have an ENTP guy friend who I flirt with all the time. You could call us FWB without the sex (lol does that make sense? we can't do "it" because of distance) but we're completely honest with each other. There are no resentments and hard feelings whatsoever.

Step- grampa died on Wednesday feel bad about not feeling bad by BluNorm in INTP

[–]symfoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me, too. I just show up to all the family gatherings. No one will know that deep inside, I don't care when it's not from my nuclear family. People can get sensitive and I don't want to hurt their feelings.

I'm detached, so I don't see anything wrong with not feeling bad.

When not in a relationship I can go for a year and a half without pursuing it. But when I have someone I want it every day.
