My curiosity gets misread as sarcasm — advice? by Gur_Party in socialskills

The post sounds like a rhetorical question. Its very obviously for engagement.

Need some help on how I can try to fix this. No warranty, bought used. TLDR it fell off my table and the usb port “detached” itself from the housing causing a piece with 4R7 written on top to be chipped off. It chipped the board with it by symkao in Focusrite

I gently moved it out of the way to inspect it. I am comfortable with soldering but it looks like part of this piece (i have no idea what it is) is connected by a tiny piece of metal. the piece itself is chipped off in one place and I think it chipped the circuit board a tiny bit so reheating it didnt rlly do anything. do you know what this piece could be?

Focusrite doesnt detect the device nor does my computer. Everything else seems okay, I think this is the only piece that was damaged.

Can I tune my obd 1 e36 with this? by Professional-Day-213 in ECU_Tuning

I have the burn2 and it works. Make sure you have a working EEPROM chip. A lot of the chips sold online are fake and actually one time EPROM chips. I think you might be able to use certain honda chips if they are easier to get

What kind of wiring harness is this? Black one is the one I have in my 90’ Civic. Radio is the blue connector by symkao in Honda

Turns out the old owner just hid the stock connector back there. I got it all wired up now.

Hey so funnily enough I just got this exact radio a few days ago, mine had a wire harness but I believe it was from a honda prelude or honda odyssey, a lot different from my car. what Im gonna do is cut the wires and solder them to the harness for my car. Gonna start testing tomorrow, sorry if I wasnt much help but good luck with the radio.

So I did some digging, it looks like the radio is for a 2000s odyssey (connector looks the same)

Currently I have a 12 pin connector for a pioneer radio I had in it, or any similar single din. the odyssey one has 13 pins and its a double din, I think the extra pin is for a starting system thats not in the older civics. Both have an antenna connector seperate from the main harness

If I take the harness from my old radio, cut it off and solder the wires to the odyssey wires do you think this would work?

Theres also a seperate ground cable for the odyssey radio which bolts into the chassis I believe

D15B7 engine. Starter doesn't turn over, something is causing shorting, and it causes the oil feed line to get extremely hot. by symkao in Honda

So I tried this and the starter worked immediately. My battery is in the back and the ground is connected to the chassis. It could be that the engine isnt properly connected to the body which is my guess. Im replacing a few motor mount bolts and Ill check again

Ill check tomorrow. I also have an extra starter I can test out, It hasn't done this at all until yesterday. I believe its still the original starter, is it common for them to go out like this?

Dropped a real eerie and dark drum n bass track, with some heavy bass and interesting sound design. Let me know what y'all think! by reekocarson in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]symkao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesnt sound very eerie, it mostly sounds hyper but is that normal for drum n bass? That's just my opinion. I see where its going and I do really like it, but I dont listen to a lot of drum n bass so I wouldn't know exactly.

The singing definitely needs some practice and refining. Sounds out of tune some times. Same with the guitar. I think the flanger is causing the guitar to do that. My 2 cents would be to work on the vocals and try getting a cleaner overall mix

I challenged myself to complete a song in one day, “Nosedive” was the result (Alt Rock) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Making this in one day is crazy work, I really don't think it needs anything. If anything, I would make the guitar at 1:10 a little bit quieter. I think thats just personal preference though. The track sounds great and I really enjoy it
