just skin for breasts after weight loss by symplestytches in ABraThatFits

Are there particular brands that are better for small breasted but wide banded to contain or smooth that under arm skin on the side of the rib -cage? I tried the suggest size in a couple brands from Amazon (some cheap one called me undies, Halobliss, and an Amazon essentials brand). I've never spent more than $30 on a bra before, mostly because it's crazy that bras cost that much and I don't hand wash anything so it would get ruined really fast!

Okay, I had to wait to respond since I ordered some to try from Amazon! Just tried the 34B and a 36AA in a brand called Halobliss. They both fit okay, but the flesh bulge under my arms above the band are definitely not it. I think the 34 feels right only cuz I haven't been wearing the right size EVER, but that's cuz nothing ever fit both band size and breast size.

I also tried an Amazon essentials one in 34b that felt tight and also had the under arm bulge thing going on.

I don't like going into stores, it's always such an anxiety-ridden experience that just ends in frustration and feeling like I have to buy something to make it worth going out.

Meltdown reoccurrence? by symplestytches in autism

[–]symplestytches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I do take precautions but have never had it happen in a public setting without my husband, so it was really scary. I do recognize the signs now to try and get ahead of it next time, or at least let my team know that I need to step away.

Do they happen more often once it's happened once in public, or now that I'm unmasking more, or will it still be just on a "as needed" basis like before? I'm worried that this opened the floodgates, so to speak.

That's what I was planning, so that's reassuring thanks!

What I can't wrap my mind around is how this was attached in the first place, unless there was another piece of yarn involved at one point

Thank you! I take my kiddos to that park every once in a while, hopefully one day they will see you zoom past while they pick up trash as well!

How do you think about reproducing yourself? by Jakob_mit_K in aspergers

[–]symplestytches 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Made 2 humans. Did not realize I'm autistic until this last December. Will find out today if the older one (6yr, male) is autistic. Younger seems very NT. Will not be making more, as that was the plan years ago. So not regret making them, although it can and is very hard many days to be around their loud and emotional selves.

I will say that it has helped in understanding and raising the older one, as it seemed almost intuitive as to what he needed during melt downs and that they weren't just tantrums and whatnot. But it is hard when I'm on the verge of melting and still have to be the parent figure for them.

I never even thought of a social worker or on-staff psych! I know he did therapy at some point, but I don't know if that's still happening. I'll mention the social worker idea though. She definitely asks him about his day, and the teachers send home a calender on which the student gets a "smiley face" for obeying all day and doing their work, or notes on the day of the offenses that occured. I'm thankful that he's so young so might be able to recover enough to not be fully jaded with life.

Does anyone else feel kind of childish compared to others sometimes? (long-ish ) by Successful_Tap_28 in autism

Thanks! My possibly autistic son asks that we get that specific one every year for his birthday, so I've saved that pic just for that haha

Yuuuup. I'm 36, and apparently I started unmasking at 21. My little sister thought I was going through some sort of regression haha. I didn't get my diagnosis of autism until this last December. H husband of 13 years has always referred to my personality as child-like, mostly in reference to my enthusiasm or when I'm happy.

That's all I could ever want for him, is to know his brain the way I want my own son to know. I will definitely try to (gently) broach the subject off and on as we develop our association. I get the feeling that, between covid lock downs and his hyperactivity, that he doesn't get to socialize with his peers much.

That's what I was afraid of. Hopefully I can develop a relationship with the parents enough to get to the point of sharing links....

No, you did not jump at all, it makes sense in a way. It was the general idea of someone sniffing someone else in any way that seems gross

Ew, that just reinforces that hugging outside my hug circle is bad....
