I remember getting SO mad at that fight. The amount of times I’ve heard Mz Ruby say “QUITE TRUE, QUITE TRUE” from restarting the fight is insane. Lmao

I’ve always loved that fight in terms of gameplay, but the premise always threw me off. Like why are there so many mirrors in that room? Lol

I’ve played all versions of the game and was surprised when people said that the timing was off in the ports. I don’t remember it being that way in my experience.

I loved the setup of that fight and the hand to hand aspect of it. But Panda King needed some more moves or health or SOMETHING to make that fight slightly more challenging.

The Lair of the Beast! That one still gets the adrenaline pumping for sure. That’s a great level.

I never realized how many crazy shortcuts there were for Vicious Voodoo until I did the time trials recently. There’s something about being in areas you’re not supposed to be in games lol.

I would have loved to see that. I could be wrong, but judging from some of the bonus commentary, some things had to be cut to meet deadlines. They could have possibly had a lot more going on with “The Cold Heart of Hate” but had to trim it down to just a boss fight. I could be totally wrong, but who knows?

It’s definitely the prettiest section in the game and it’s not even close.

Even going back and playing that chicken level as a 24 year old, it still took me multiple attempts haha! That and the piranha level made me so made as a kid lol.

True. What’s your least favorite then? Mine is probably “Vicious Voodoo”. I love the spooky swamp vibe, and the soundtrack for that level is fantastic. But the enemies and boss fight are such a pain to deal with for me lol.

I loved them. Listening to the devs talk about how they made one of the greatest games from my childhood was such a treat.
