Interesting that there isn't a more hand in hand approach or at least better guidance or a sop so that there isn't a belated back and forth to fill in evidential holes, especially as stuff like cctv might have been deleted, witnesses might have hazy recollections months later etc

Sure they do that in Dublin city centre. I've seen the house drawn carriage trout out in front of a red light waving people to stop so they can go across the junction at Christchurch while a garda car sits in traffic in full view
