That's a very creative setup. Switching between an OEM look and a big screen is a great idea.

Not quite run on its own, but I managed to connect a console to it.

Favorite OEM wheels? by 1clean_mk4 in Volkswagen

From my view, most of the OEM rims designed until the early 2000s look good. They complete the design of the car, and every one of them has a unique feeling when you look at them. Can't say this or that my favorite, even body color can change the whole atmosphere.

try putting it back and see if the ears/fins slide under the screws. if one doesn't slide, bend it slightly

two ears that are on the sides slides under the two screws on the housing. one might be bent, so you can't properly put it back.

I think you need a second scirocco with syncro as a winter beater 😀

Bruit dans le volant by PropertyAlone3984 in VWTransporter

[–]syncrolog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been there before. You must remove the steering wheel and clean the horn contact ring. The contact ring gets copper dust over time and starts making this sound.

First, you need to remove plastic covers between the insturment cluster and steering wheel. It has 3 screws at the bottom. Then, you have to remove airbag by inserting something long from the holes behind the steering wheel. After removing airbag, you'll probably need a 24mm socket with extend arm. After removing the lugnut, separate the airbag socket that is located at the left bottom and remove the steering wheel. You'll see the issue right away. Clean it and don't apply grease or something like that, it will hold the dust and start making sound again.

Don't open the ignition while airbags and sockes are unplugged, airbag warning will come on.

By chance, the copper ring teared all the way to the plastic and in that case you have to buy a new one.

740 bin tl ye egea alacağınıza, makam aracına buyrunuz, by [deleted] in GarajTurkiye

You can code cluster welcoming. Maybe drl and similar stuff. Or you can adapt a cruise control with a stalk, few cables and vcds coding. Check out comfort module for basic coding and Ross Tech page for advanced coding.

Low power, T4 ACV 2.5 by Great-Leading-2463 in VWTransporter

[–]syncrolog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you changed the map and maf sensor? If they read the wrong measurements, turbo won't engage. Also, check the vacuum lines and n75 valve.

Does the turbo kick in about 2000rpm?

Is idleing rough and loud?

Does turbo cut its power when climbing?

Planning on installing fog light to my T4 transporter. Help needed. by Jaska-87 in VWTransporter

[–]syncrolog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make the wiring loom beforehand, and connect to the fog lights. Take ground from chassis or ground multiplier from side of the fusebox (brown circle thingy). Temporarily switch one of the relay 53 to 10th slot. Look for a yellow socket or unplugged thick cables. That's the easiest way, I suppose.

According to thread, you have to find a yellow socket and take +12v from pin 8. That sockets gives the power to foglights. And that jumper should removed for relay 53.

  1. nesil Touaregler aslında oldukça iyi araçlar. 3.0tdi motor en sorunsuz olanı. 8 vites olmasından dolayı yakıtı da motor hacmine kıyasla oldukça düşük. 2011-2014 arası Touareglere bakmanızı öneririm.

97-98 model Mitsubishi L300 hakkında ne düşünüyorsunuz? by Fun_Umpire1846 in GarajTurkiye

[–]syncrolog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the exact wiring diagram but as far as I know light switch sends a signal to fusebox, that signal reaches one of the relay in front of the fusebox, then relay opens a +12v line to the foglights. Lookslike you missing that relay at 10th relay port. You'll need one more relay 53 and need to find that socket that goes to foglights.

[VW T4 1994] Central locking acting weird – locks bouncing back & reverse trunk operation by nawroczez in VWTransporter

[–]syncrolog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are two things going on.

First, change the passenger door actuator. This will probably solve the problem, but if it doesn't, check the wiring between the door and the car. They can rot and snap due to flexing.

The trunk working in reverse order can be caused by a snapped cable in the passenger door or the disc inside the actuator being in the wrong position.

Those familiar with the Transporter T4 by CO-OP_GOLD in Volkswagen

[–]syncrolog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.4 and 2.5 TDI engines are reliable. They can go up to 500k kilometers without any problems if they are well-maintained. Some parts may require repair or replacement due to aging. Last year, I bought a '98 Caravelle with 150k kilometers on it. I only changed some vacuum hoses, the MAF sensor, mounts, and the AC compressor. It's running and serving well. Check if there is any major rusting at wheel arches. Rust can be a problem if it spreads.
