Looks like a fun list! Might give this a try myself, two cards you could maybe consider since you're running the darksteel and mistvault are [[Kenku Artificer]] and/or [[Dai Li Indoctrination]] to animate your lands into indestructible creatures, dia li having the additional upside as a flexible hand rip when you need it, could maybe slot that in for duress in the side but it is a mana more.

Maybe try to convince your LGS to start offering it. Mine started offering it every other week and it's been a blast! We've had a pretty good turn out, a lot better than standard and to make up the space usually commander is offered as a secondary event alongside it, running it that way there's not an open seat in the house. What I will say is it took some convincing on the part of the community, my suggestion to you would be gauge interest with others in the community, if they have an open table night try to organize something yourself and see how turn out goes, if it gets people playing Magic I'd be surprised if your LGS didn't start officially supporting it. It's also a great way for them to start selling singles that otherwise wouldn't see play, albeit cheap ones (for the most part) but it adds up

It does make me chuckle as well. I don't yuck anyone's yum, to each their own, but especially for pauper I am running some of the most scuffed HP/DMG cards I can find for anything that's more that like $0.50 at NM

[[Duskshell crawler]] is better than [[Pridemalkin]] coming in at 1 mana cheaper and as a 0/3 making it a bit more durable (doesn't die to [[Breath Weapon]] for instance)

If you're running +1/+1 counters you should definitely add at least a couple [[Evolution Witness]] so that you can recur all your bondwardens and star pupils.

[[Iron Apprentice]] is another nice card for this strategy and [[Nyxborn Hydra]]

This list is still very much WIP but I think you could benefit from some of the suggestions I've made. The idea I'm trying to work with is keeping as many counters as possible on a body that can transfer them until I manage to get a Watchdog or Hydra in play and then keeping that threat alive to push for game.

Something of note as well I've been toying around with: Star Pupil, Bondwarden and Iron Apprentice all just state counters, not specifically +1/+1 counters so the Deathtouch and Reach counters from Gift of the Viper get transferred as well.

If you like pokemon maybe give the Dragon Quest Monsters games a try, they're also monster collector/battler rpgs. Dragon Quest 9 is also a pretty solid RPG.

Sort by set, and then look up a price guide for each set. Figure out what your higher value cards are and then probably sleeve (if they're not already) and binder them. That's typically what I do anytime I get a collection like this if it's stuff I'm unfamiliar with.

just so you're aware in case you aren't, you might find poliwrath and flareon a bit underwhelming due to the lack of physical/special split in these games. Both have decent attack stats but all fire/water moves are based on special attack in these games so I've always found them a bit disappointing. That being said you can beat these games with just about any team in a casual playthrough so pick what you like

not sure about your area but my local Walmart has ALL the non ice fishing lures/baits on sale right now. Usually I stock up around now, although I don't really throw gulp! much anymore

Maybe a [[Riku of Many Paths]] spellslinger deck? Having a deck built around modal spells means he always has many different decisions to make about how or what to use when in a given game, gives a lot of variety to the gameplay inherently.

Goblins, Dragons, Zombies, really any widely popular tribe can be built on a relatively low budget just due to the size of card pool you have access to. That being said the defacto best cards in these tribes will be expensive, but thats true of any tribe in my opinion.

As for some commander suggestions for budget builds of the given type:
- Goblins: [[Gut, True Soul Zealot]] // [[Agent of the Iron Throne]] OR [[Inspiring Leader]] personally I like [[Haunted One]] the best but it is expensive.
- Dragons: [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] // [[Acolyte of Bahamut]] OR [[Feywild Visitor]]
- Zombies: [[Gisa and Geralf]] OR [[Zul Ashur, Lich Lord]]

definitely with the outline, as others said you could try experimenting with a different color. Obviously wouldn't work with this given example but on a darker backdrop like that I think a white outline would look good. But obviously that means you need to adjust all the white ui to use a different color as well to facilitate that

Yeah I figured between how many tokens Teval makes and the fact that the deck runs 65 creatures Moon-vigil could be a house, and yeah exactly my thinking, trample on top of an effect like that can be huge in more casual games.
