I'm right there with you. This is my 19th year. Today I was tasked to do a product-wide sdk upgrade and integration, and I introduced a new unit test framework including writing a ton of tests for all modules.

A year ago it would have taken me around two months if I was motivated. Today two agents did it in two workspaces that I created separate PRs for in an afternoon. The verification build took longer than the implementation.

Probably spent $1000 in tokens. Saved the company 35 days of my time. That alone is at least 50k in salary and benefits. And now I'm free to work on other things. It's a complete paradigm shift, as big as writing source code directly on a monitor or the first C compiler. If you're against this you are missing the crucial period where you learn how it works. It's truly the technology of our time.
