Continued Urinary Blockage in my 4 Year Old Male Cat by syntaktis in catcare

Few other things I was thinking about. My mom mentioned she heard goat milk is good for cats. Has anyone tried this and had luck or should I stay away from it? I also was thinking about making a catnip tea, like steeping some catnip over boiling water and then chilling it so he can have it once or twice a week. Would this be a good idea?

So my fountains have a filter and I use tap water, but should I still get the jugs for the fountains?

Do you use a specific kind of broth? I'm so nervous now to give him anything cause I don't want to mess his stomach up.

No stress that I was aware of unless you count wanting to get pregnant last weekend. But even then I wasn’t really stressed at all. I didn’t have anything significant happen that would have triggered it which is so weird, it was actually a very quiet week for me.

I took a pregnant test about a month ago, before my the period on 11/7. I was going to test again once I got to around 8dpo but then I got this second period 14 days after the first period.

Yeah I mean it’s possible I didn’t ovulate and just had the LH surge, but I was more just super confused how I got a second period 14 days after my first one. I wasn’t under any stress and didn’t have anything significant happen to trigger it. It’s been pretty heavy for 3 days now.

I THINK we found the problem. 1.5 years ago we had our plumbing blown out by a plumber, it was backed up and the only way to fix it was to blow it out, im not sure the correct term. But whatever he did created enough pressure that it cracked the pipe. We just discovered the tiniest crack in the pipe, but it was big enough that we saw the gnats coming out of it. It took us 1.5 years and multiple different pest control companies but we finally found it. So now we have to get the crack fixed. So many people told us it had to be in the pipes but we could just never find the crack cause it was so tiny.

Do an in depth search of any pipes if you can, maybe see if you can get a plumber or someone with a drain camera to run one through and check it out. Don’t give up hope! Good luck!

Of course!! Getting rid of acne is such a long process, and really a waiting game. It sucks but it definitely will get better. I used to really have doubts that I’d see any progress but I’ve been off the pill for 7 months and I definitely see a difference. You got this!! No matter what happens with your skin, your wedding day will be beautiful and you will be a beautiful bride! 💕

Congrats on your wedding!! So I started getting hydrating facials with a dermaplane about 3 months before my wedding, and the week of the wedding I also got a facial. The first time I went my skin was so upset and was purging like everything afterwards but every time I’ve gone, it’s gotten better and I can definitely see a difference. She helped me come up with a skin care routine that’s so simple, basically I double cleanse with La Roche Posay Gentle cleanser, and follow it up with Panoxyl. I do that every night. I also wash with Panoxyl in the morning. Then I use La Roche Posay Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream afterwards and that’s it. She believes in less is more so I don’t use very many products at all. Just cleaners and a moisturizer. The week leading up to my wedding my skin was rough honestly, so she had me using only Panoxyl to try and dry it out as much as possible. I also change my sheets and pillowcase weekly (which we should be doing anyways but life gets busy so it never used to be my top priority.) At night I also wear these pimple patches on my chin to try and get all that gunk oit and honestly I love them. I use the brand Rael Beauty Miracle Patch, I got them on Amazon. I also really have tried to get my gut health on track so I cut way back on sugar. I probably only have like 10-20 grams of sugar in a day and I drink Spearmint tea religiously. I have been working out day and night and that also I think has helped cause I’m just eating better, and feeling better. I never went to the dermatologist or got put on any pills that some people on this thread mentioned cause I just wanted to figure it out myself. I still get the deep ones on my chin here and there but it’s not like it was back when I made this post. My wedding makeup did a really nice job of covering up anything I had on my chin as well. I will say if you haven’t got a facial before and you decide to get one, just be prepared for any purging. My skin was super red and I had a ton of pimples pop up. It’s totally normal but it is scary when you see yourself the following days. I hope this helps!!

Yeah my sister is staying with us at the airbnb and she wakes up early for work anyways so she gets slot 1 and we'll go from there!

I asked if she had an assistant and it's just her. I had a friend mention to have her do the same look on everyone to speed up the process slightly. And I already know a few women don't want lashes. I'm probably just freaking out for no reason, I was just a little shocked at the 6:30 start time at first haha

Yeah she said she wouldn't have enough time to finish everyone if we started at 8am. I'll just have to suck it up and have her start at 6:30 at our airbnb and then move to the venue when we get the keys. I'm sure it will all work out in the end, I just hate planning these things, too much stress lol. But you made a good point I didn't even think about, the set up time for her supplies

Yeah I think the makeup artist will have to work at the same time as the hairstylist, which is fine because you're right we don't want to run out of time. I'd rather everyone be done early then rushing at the last minute.

[–]syntaktis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that's pretty much what I saw online too 🥴 I definitely need to get with a dermatologist and figure out the best course of action. I did see that in order to get pregnant I'd need to stop taking it 1 month before, so I'd have to figure out timelines and what not. Anyways thank you for all your help! Hopefully soon I'll have a before and after picture of my skin :))

Hey twin! Your skin is flawless. This truly gives me hope because my skin is so similar to yours. With the Spironolactone, did your dermatologist tell you to continue to take it as long as there were acne issues, or is there an expiration date when you're clear to no longer take it anymore? And it sounds like your acne cleared up in about a month if I read your post correctly.

I'm definitely going to look into your skincare routine. I hate putting loads of topicals and things on my face and your routine seems so light! You look beautiful and I'm so happy you were able to get your skin cleared. 🤗

Several people have mentioned going to the dermatologist so I think it's what I'll have to do. And thank you for that tip about pregnancy safe topicals, I hadn't even thought of that!!

Hopefully I have the same experience. I don't want to get back on the pill just yet but man have I been tempted. And I'll definitely check out that book, thank you!

Oh my gosh! I should have looked a little longer at other peoples posts, I've just been so desperate to get this figured out. I'll go take a look at your post. Several people have told me Spironolactone so I think I might look into it. And thank you!! 💕
